Doesn't work on a surface 3. No physical volume up button, just an F key which does not work when combined with the power button.

I tried that and did not work. I see after 7 months still not a different way.

Microsoft should make this repair free of charge. I have seen this far too often. Sad.

This does not work on a Surface Pro 4 I am trying to repair. Cannot get past red stripe with open padlock. No combination of power button with volume up or volume down (to try to boot from recovery USB) makes any difference. Just cannot get to the UEFI screen. Any ideas?
