In this asmr plumbing video I am using pressfit on this job but I can’t fit the jaws on the fitting as it’s tight for space!

Thankfully novopress make some angled jaws for the gun to help get into tight areas. This is due to having full 180 degrees on the jaws as well being able to spin the collar to your desired position.

I’m really glad innovation has come to the plumbing industry to help us out on the job site. For such long time plumbing has been hard work but now the new tech is making it more easier for us!

Enjoy the video and I will se you on the next one! Don’t forget to like, sub if you are new and comment below if you like press fit or still solder!

Been a plumber for 23 years. That accessory is the only thing that makes ProPress a more cost-effective option than soldering. ProPress is fantastic for repairs on systems with faulty valves, for making alterations without draining systems, and to avoid hot work permits.
Soldering, however, is still more than a century-and-a-half more reliable than ProPress.

Remember a little flame and solder was all it took to make a connection.

Reliant on the lifetime of a rubber seal, soldered when done properly should last for generations to come!

Or you can just pre fab the tee with the piece going up and press the bottom 2

Most school hospitals etc will only let you use press theses days in the uk due to no fire risk or hit works needed ..

Press fit works well when you're in an area with multiple smoke alarms or high flamingo. A solder joint is always best and should be the first option.

For all those talking about soldering. Hot work permits dont happen overnight and are ladden to the local government that likes to drag its ass. You also dont have to worry about smoke alarms or insulation catching fire. Its also quicker and requires very little skill. Pro press is the future whether you like it or not.

Solder is steady stuff.
Sometimes flames are not a friendly commodity …glad there are alternatives.

By doing it this way. You insure plumbers 25 years down the road will have plenty of work. Plus as an added bonus he'll scrap all that copper.

You guys do realize that ProPress fittings have been around since the 1980s in Europe and in the 1990s in America so it's not like these don't have a 30 and 40-year track record and the warranty is still good! Why are people so scared of technology? When you have pro-press you make more money because you do jobs a lot quicker so now instead of only doing 10 jobs a day you could do 20 so you make more money so yes the pro-press might cost more money in the beginning but you're going to make it back in 6 months

Here in the US I just use shark bite fittings for quick repair that will never be seen (tight crawl spaces), other wise you can't beat the classic lead-less solder, those who cry about how it looks has not seen some one with good puddle and heat control with a little flux on a brush that makes the weld beautiful.

Pro press is a great idea that has yet to be executed well, the low durability makes it a costly system for the homeowner.

They make this for gas too (the gas ones don't use o rings, it's a gasketing material). Anything larger than one inch requires an attachment like this.

A lot of comment in favour of soldered joints, I hear ya, but let’s not forget more and more sites will no longer allow hot works!!!
