Omg lol get some aluminum foil two squares.

Put the popcorn and butter and salt if ur adding in the center . Off one sheet

Put the other sheet of aluminum foil on top fold over the edges like a microwave popcorn bag poke a hole on the top and the put it in the pan u don’t want the corn to get direct heat u wont need to cover the pot.

The foil will act just like the popcorn bag in the microwave !!

I’m sorry but melt butter on the side in the microwave and pour over, you legit need one teaspoon not a whole stick like you used 😂 your butter was burnt and the pan was way to hot.
