35 years old and overweight. Got an Apple Watch 3 months ago and it’s deffo helped especially the calorie counting side of things. It really does help.

I recently (4months) started my “fitness journey” and my Apple Watch has been such a great tool not just to keep track of my workouts but to keep me inspired and keep me healthy as well. So cool!! Hi Bryan, just want to drop my thanks because you improved my life! I watched your calorie deficit video last August 2022 and I lost weight and felt better about myself since! I started working out Feb 2023 and 3 months later I'm already seeing results mentally and physically. :) And just like you I am reliant on data! I bought an Apple Watch Ultra after watching a few of your videos! I like its integration with my phone. My FitBit was great, but there’s something about the lure of Apple products that makes it that much better.

If you have trouble getting an accurate heart rate reading during workouts you can do what I do and use a Bluetooth heart rate strap that’s paired to the Apple Watch. I use a Polar H10. It also saves battery on the Apple Watch since it doesn’t have to use the laser. I get much better readings. I can do HITT. Go for long runs. Bench press. Hope this helps!

I have been using my series 7 while doing strength training. I have a scale that connects to the health app so it will automatically keep my weight up to date. I also keep it nice and snug and clean of course so even when benching, I get good readings. I would also use my finger on the Digital Crown to help get a heart rate faster if it can’t get a reading. Also use treadmills and elliptical that allow a Apple Watch connection which helps keep my cardio very accurate.

Thank you for the great advice, Bryan. I was often frustrated by not getting consistent HR readings on my Apple Watch during workouts, and when I cinched it up one notch during workouts as you suggested, it made all the difference. A small change for big results - thanks for this. 👍

I’m the same way with mine! The only time I ever don’t wear it is when I’m charging it. Lol it’s not accurate to the bone but it’s helped me so much on my fitness journey. At first I thought it wasn’t necessary and technically it isn’t, but the tracking has helped me stay more motivated and helped me to get better sleep.
