Silent alarm. I get up early for exercise and don’t want to wake my wife. The silent alarm tapping my wrist wakes me up. Silent ringing as well. In an office environment, ringing mobiles are distracting but my phone is always on silent and my watch taps my arm for incoming calls. Simple, but the simple things make life easy

can we appreciate this guy treating siri like a swear word so 800 devices don’t all go “ping ping”

I’m trying to convince myself to buy it so I keep watching Apple videos lol
Edit: I bought the series 5

My most used Apple Watch feature was pinging my phone, so I could locate my phone when I forgot where I put it. 🤣

Let’ face it: if you have to actively look up reasons why you could possibly need something - you probably don’t need it.
That being said, I still want it.

I have to admit, Apple Pay on my Watch made my trip to London so much easier. Just straight through the turnstiles for the Tube and onto the bus, didn't need to get my wallet or anything out. Amazingly simple

As a person with ADHD I use it all the time for setting reminders when I think of something. Even something 10 minutes away I get distracted. If we ever have a pandemic the touchless pay is simply the best. Keeping up to date with shares and notes is also cool. I could not do without it and when asked by my wife why I bought it didn’t know! I just wanted one! As a small business owner I can answer enquiries immediately and that more than pays for the watch!
Good move!

I use the find my phone button quite often. Most under rated use on the Apple Watch

I legitimately gave this video a like because you were amazing enough to mute the word "Siri" so my phone didn't freak out

I don’t have a Watch and haven’t had one for years....I’m diving straight in and getting me a Series 6 for my Birthday. I deserve it!!!

When I’m sending a message with dictation my 10 year old loves to yell random things right before I hit send. It gets added to the message every time

Being able to receive/make phone calls, receive messages and dictate responses was incredibly helpful when hospitalised and confined to bed with very restricted movement. Streaming music to blue tooth earphones also great. I have had the occasion to use fall detect. Unashamedly a huge fan.

I have a series 4. Love it for the activity reminders and sending texts. Also love feeling like James Bond when I answer the phone by talking to my wrist. Haha

Just like the iPad, when they first came out you couldn’t see the point of them, after a couple of months use you couldn’t live without one. For those of us with older Macs (2015 MacBook Pro) the unlock with Apple Watch feature is 👌🏾. My other main uses are Apple Pay and responding to messages.

I hate having my phone on me at work, running around a restaurant and never being in the same place for longer than a minute. Now that I have the watch I can leave my phone in the back in my bag, and not have to worry about any urgent texts or calls. PLUS now I can actually keep track of my steps and how much I move. Turns out its ALOT.

Also, because I’m a grownup I called my husband from my watch while I was in the shower and he was in the living room. I asked him if it was raining in there too.

Nice, Craig, you've covered it well!
As I drive along, my watch helps me with directions and "buzzes" at each turn I need to make during navigation.
I drive a classic BMW and I keep it stock so I use a bluetooth FM transmitter to the stock radio.
As I play music and want to see which song is on, a quick glance at the watch shows what it is.
Keep up the awesome work!

I resisted the idea of owning an Apple Watch until I was diagnosed with heart failure. On the day when I was discharged from the hospital, my cardiologist suggested that I might want to buy one, because it has several features for monitoring my heart health (and my blood oxygen level, which can be an issue if my heart isn't performing efficiently).

Series 7 was the current model at that time, but I knew I could save money by buying an older model. I determined that a Series 4 or later would provide the heart health features I needed. But I opted for Series 6, because that's the model that added Fall Detection. I'm 62 years old and I live alone, so a feature that can call emergency services and notify my family if I fall and become unresponsive seems like a REALLY good idea. And my iPhone can't do that.

I've had the watch for three months, and I keep finding new uses for it. I definitely don't regret buying it. And it just may help keep me alive.

Great info Craig, Thank you! Question: Can I have my iPhone in "Do Not Disturb" mode in order to film videos and use just my SE with Cellular to answer and send text and calls from my GF and kids?
