The fact RDJ said “new mask, same task” when he revealed himself has LAYERS to it. He could either be referring to:

- Playing another complicated and complex character in the MCU
- Bringing “peace and order” to the universe once as Tony, now as Doctor Doom
- Him coming back to the MCU in general
- Bringing the Avengers together, once as Tony, now as Doom

Doctor Doom is my favourite Marvel villain and such a complex character with a fantastic rivalry with Reed Richards (pun intended). Though I LOVE RDJ and hes a phenomenal actor but I do worry if this casting will affect how they adapt Doom since his rivalry with Reed and Latverian heritage is a quintessential part of his character. Regardless Im willing to give this a chance and Im excited to see Doctor Doom return to the big screen once again.
