I made this heavy duty workbench from 2x4,s and plywood strips. The work surface is 5 centimeters thick and 68 centimeters deep. In total, the workbench is 244 centimeters long. In my next videos I will make a chest of drawers and another cupboard for the larger tools. I also make a moxon vise later.

I hope I can interest you with this. if so keep an eye on my channel for the following videos. Subscribe yourself and activate the bell so that you don't miss anything.

Thank you for watching!

Great video friend. there was a very solid work desk. I made myself a desk. I've been using it for 2 years. Congratulations . See you in the next video, my friend.

That's a genius idea! I love the look of the top! I know it's a workbench, but have you thought of putting a roundover on the edges or something? just an idea. Love it.

Gr. Ruud

What kind of plywood did you use for the top of the workbench?

I have never seen anyone use plywood strips as you have. It looks amazing! Personally, I am impressed with your use of a hand saw to cut straight lines. Your workbench is definitely a major success. May I ask what the SYDD was that you applied at the end?

Seriously? This is just amazing. what a smart way to make a strong workbench top. much cheaper than just buying one to. It's heavy is it?
