Hi, I'm Ashni!! I've been on #Twitch since 2013 and because of my amazing friends, I went full-time in 2015. I was terrible at it. And one day my sponsor called me on Skype and said: "There will be a lot of people who make it on Twitch, but it will never be you." So I stopped and learned as much as I could. Now I make content to help other streamers pursue their dreams and learn to stream, because he was right. There will be a lot of people who make it. And I'm going to help them.

I am now a professional #StreamCoach, full-time content creator, and Twitch Partner. The #YamFam is our community of streamers who are linking arms to take over the world. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ I also love business, travel, plants, and puppies.

I'd rather play games that I want to play instead of locking myself into one. If it takes longer then so be it. My job is stressful enough and I game to have fun.

I did stream one game consistently for a few months, but I got burnt out fast. So I decided I will do variety all the way to make myself happy since gaming and streaming is about having fun for me and enjoying the ride.

If something new pops up that I can enjoy for a longer period of time I will mix that in and do what Cahlaflour does. She starts the stream with the main game for a few hours and then swap over to the variety game whatever that may be at the time.
I think that is super effective to be consistent in what you produce as a content creator and to also be able to work in new ideas and projects without disrupting your own flow!

I hit subscribe 1 second before you said it in video.

Thanks for the tips!

Im naturally a variety streamer because I get burnt out on playing 1 game constantly. I tried the single game thing and disliked it, plus some of my community members are use to variety as they like the unexpected game choice. Being variety also allows me to showcase brand new games that interest me or companies ask me to showcase. Since I stream 3x a week what I plan to implement is 2 days is a main game that I wanna build on and then 1 day is random. This allows me to build myself in a directory and not be jumping around as much.

So I do 50/50. I do half of my streams in World of Warcraft and the other half are variety. I get more average views on my WoW streams but if I streamed WoW 5 days a week I would be miserable. That being said I built a solid little community over in WoW and a lot of those viewers will come to every stream.

The problem streaming the same game is that it gets boring. You can't possibly fake that your loving it forever. I think its worth the grind of getting an audience thats willing to watch you play a variety of games. Be honest with yourself, can you play the same game day in and day out for months on end? No way I could play the same thing over and over again, no matter how good it is.

I think if you stick to one thing and grow with that you can branch out later once people like watching your streams. That's what i am trying to do.

I think its good to be something in between i mean i play a game as a main focus but also play some games in the same genre.for example if you play fortnite as a main focus 6 days a weak play apex the other day.nice vid

For me it's two maingame-IPs my viewers like. Although one I can't stream so far because I can't capture the gameplay.
I want to have two days were they know what to expect. And then try out what comes of playing variety on two different days.

I know my growth will be slow but I want to test it out to see the difference.

I would never start variety streaming only. I have a friend who streams for years and has almost zero growth. And I myself only tune in when he plays a game I like and the last time was months ago.

Also, pardon the double post, I feel like quantity is being over emphasized, when quality of the viewership is also very important... I don't speak from experience, being small and relatively new, but just from being an analytical person. I would just personally like to grow slowly, in a way where I can be more flexible with my game choices, and allow my personality to shine through too, but that's just me.

Right now my laptop canโ€™t handle much, so I stick with games on the id tech 1 engine - classic Doom, Heretic, and Hexen. Theyโ€™re all similar enough to have crossover, and customizable with mods (and thinking outside the box) that I can make new and fresh approaches to old games! Also trying to incorporate playing some of the theme music on guitar and other things.

I think the real question is are you streaming to make money and turn it into a job or are you streaming for fun and just to meet other like minded gamers? Imo don't mix business with pleasure it will generally bite you in the ass and make you hate the thing you love.

I'm mostly sticking to a genre or 2 instead of one game because my adhd would burn out super fast. I'm new, but seem to be doing decently with numbers. Now working on content outside of twitch to try to grow more.

I'm the ultimate variety streamer, I stream in Science & Tech, Arts & Performance, and a few games. How can I show consistency when I have so many interests I stream?

zoommair
ะะฒั‚ะพั€

(STRICTLY THEORETICALLY) I'd probably take slow growth with variety over sticking for one game, because it feels like this kind will at least sort of attract the people whom I want to attract - those who like the game(s) I play, but also like the streamer's personality, and the atmosphere they foster. Plus, I 'd rather not burn out on one game (and I do wonder... if I did play one game, for a time, if I switched, would I have to worry about rebuilding a viewer base when I lose those who just come for the game?)

I feared that variety streaming was going to be an uphill battle, but what If I were to be consistent and involved in all of the titles I chose to stream and create content for? I think its possible I have seen big streamers do it.

ะะฒั‚ะพั€

I'm thinking variety. As someone who's looking at getting into streaming, I feel like that is the best approach for me personally, and if it takes longer to gain any traction so be it! I'd rather let a community form naturally than overnight ๐Ÿ™‚
