Building a '66 Chevy C20 around our supercharged Duramax

His name is Lokjaw! This 1966 Chevy C20 was built as a home for our Banks R866SC turnkey high-performance supercharged diesel engine. After 46 episodes of Banks Built and the truck's debut in the AMSOIL booth at the SEMA Show in 2021, some thought we'd given up on LokJaw. Well, surprise surprise, it's back and better than ever! "I've never had an engine that responds like this," says Gale Banks with a smile from ear to ear. "High-compression big block Chevy with a blower. This guy is the champion."

I like how the inner fenderwells match the supercharger with the pattern made into them.

Use done an absolute amazing job on this one. Id rather something like this over any of the brand new cars you could buy with the same budget of this build. This isn't only beautiful its an absolute beast in every way you can think of!

Use should import a Holden or Ford ute from Australia and do a build on one of those. I can only imagine how insane it would end up and it would definitely be a unique car over there where use are.

Among the culture i like from the US, mind you most of it I never agree, will be your love and mods on old automobiles. These classic design, don't matter made in US, Japan or whatever country, are dream machines to have. Either do it exactly like how it roll out of the factory or custom and mods, all heavenly to drive and own. It's part of history.

You guys have to hear more of it!! There's clips on youtube of it revving like a modern nascar! Very snappy throttle response and a rapid return to idle as well! A real race motor!

His best response was from the original clip. He whacked the pedal and couldn't help but holler out WOOOO SHIT!!!

I only want to know one thing…
Where in the hello did you find a ‘66 C20 for $1?!?!
That is my absolute favorite body style pickup. My grandfather had a ‘61 with a straight 6 and 3 on the tree. I learned to drive in that truck. Took my first real date out in that truck…

I really want to build a 1966 C-10 resto mod, Aluminum 6.2 supercharged, with a 6 speed Automatic, air ride with a vintage air conditioning. I bought one when I was 14 and sold it when I turned 16 and regretted it ever since

Throttle response like a gasser - rare in a diesel!
Banks has always been The Man for performance, I was around before he was an OG, he was legend then.

I had no idea you could supercharge a diesel engine wow

Is a super charged diesel more efficient than a turbo charged diesel? I would think so because of the instant spool. I always thought super chargers would make more sense than turbos for diesels but I wasn’t sure if there was something I’m missing. I’m definitely not an engineer or mechanic

When will I be able to get the supercharged duramax

So, why buy the entire pickup, if you're only using the cab and box?
