I watched this video a few days ago but then did not have time to comment at that time. Anyway thank you for that awesome "shoutout". I really appreciate that. My crafting skills however are not near as good as what you do here on your channel. Keep doing what you do and being who you are.

This is one of my favorite videos on this topic. The way you split these logs was absolutely beautifiul and so peaceful as well. Absolutely fantastic.

Frankly, Felix, I would not have had any idea that one can create boards in the woods in this way. Thanks for once again expanding my understanding of survival and bush skills!

This is awesome! For those wondering allow this history nerd to say a few things, this method is knowing as Riving and has been in use literally thousands of years including during medieval boat builidng and they were spliting whole trees!!! A tool known as a froe can also help make this boards that are smaller as well as shingles for siding and roofing. Again well done sir

Haha- I love the high speed sawing. I can almost believe the video is normal and not sped up. Because you’re a Superman of Bushcraft!

Riving wood is great. Splitting is also how people without a mill make their own hatchet/axe handles. Splitting pieces even the length of the log you had can be difficult. Anybody riving their own wood should be proud. It's pretty awesome to harvest your own raw materials and then create something useful out of them.

Often times I'll split rounds with an axe and hew the pieces into hatchet handle blanks. Air drying can take a very long time depending on the type of wood. Soft maple dries much faster than any oak I've worked with for example. The great thing about wood is that it doesn't always have to be dry unless it's shrinking will be a problem for your use.

Great video I love seeing you branch off into your other interests.

Nice, I liked the video. This is actually what people should learn before they are 21 years old.
