I have issues with CFB25 obviously, it has a number of problems that definitely get in the way of the experience like the off of the field stuff being kinda bland and lifeless.

That being said, holy fuck it is light years better than whatever the fuck EA is trying to give us with Madden. At least CFB's menus aren't obnoxiously slow, at least the gameplay is fun and responsive, at least I get to actually interact in some way with scouting and shit, etc.

At least in CFB25 the high scores and fast pace are properly representing the sport, college football is just like that. Does the game probably exaggerate it? Yeah a little. But not to a degree that it bothers me. Last year's NFL season however, was notable due to the noticeable decline in offense! A ton of games were lower scoring defensive battles. This isn't universally true obviously, but it was present. Now why in Madden 25 do we have like basically impossible defense and garbage QBs that can hit elite throws??? The game is just so ass man. In NCAA25, if a player is ass, they're ass. Even 4 and 5 star gem freshman still kinda suck compared to upperclassmen, as it should be!

Having CFB as a side by side comparison really just shows how garbage and not worth playing Madden is. CFB25 is a flawed, but ultimately good like 7/10 sports game. It's very fun, I like it. With Madden 25 a 3/10 feels generous

It seems like the same thing happens every year a new madden comes out tho. Everyone trashes on the game for being the same as last year and it’s buggy. But then a patch happens and fixes some of the bugs and people still play the game and will still buy madden 26. This is why you don’t pre order games from EA just wait until the holidays when they’re cheaper and have bug patches

NFLM25 was released without any fanfare at all. I use to buy Madden religiously on launch day ... anymore I wait til Christmas seasonal and pick it up for $20 or $30

I think there’s a chance that maybe after next year the NFL drops their exclusive license with EA and maybe 2K will step in. I think their contract expires in 2025 I believe. But the game makes the NFL and EA a ton of money. So one can only hope the NFL is not greedy and lets other studios make football games licensed by the NFL. Competition between studios to make a great football game is key, like back in the day. NFL 2K and NFL Fever were great games in my opinion.

The most important tool in balanced gameplay is coach goals, especially points allowed and yards gained. If you get those wrong in AM the cpu teams will play way above themselves.

I agree with your point on scouting. I HATE the new way. It's boring and doesn't even involve the user. The fact this makes me miss the old barebones system is embarrassing.

Really hoping the NFL doesn't renew their licence with EA, although with the amount of money they both made from it, I have a feeling things wont improve anytime soon.

I had the funniest thing happen today my team scored and came off the field and my players were on the other teams bench being talked to by Washington’s coach my team was the saints with one commander sitting in the middle of my players on the wrong bench?

Us players shouldn't have to tweak sliders to have a realistic simulation game and be able to enjoy it!! You have exclusivity on the game but your game is 💩...make it make sense like what in the actual fudgesicle EA smh 🤦🏾 😒

That is why i am thankful there is a NFL2k modding team to keep NFL2k going each year. Fuck EA in every way possiable and Fuck the NFL for allowing this to continue. Not one common sensed person with any power cannot play one game and say, Fuck you EA, " contract is broken", but nope. It is sad but on a great note, great video man and I appreciate the content.

so happy i didn’t buy this game. I’ve been a strictly franchise player and a 200+ hour a year type of madden player and i finally decided not to buy it. Very happy.

Look what 2k has done with NBA 2k for the last 6 years. It's the same issues with Madden. You don't want them making a football simulation game
