That demonstration with the band was confusing, but it cleared up once he mentioned to keep building the tension and then pull. It's a better que than the 'swinging the the hip down and pull'

I had the chance to be taught correct deadlift form by two other nice gym bros who just happened to witness my bad and dangerous form.
I'm glad they were there otherwise it would have lead to an injury.

I've been hinging all the way back this whole time and not bending my knees that much... have I been doing barbell RDL's this whole time?!

Alan Thrall's deadlifit tutorial really helped me with this. Stopped my shins bleeding too. Turns out, I was just doing stuff wrong.

The MOST common deadlift problem is lifting too heavy too early.

Am I the only one that only feels comfortable doing DL's with a SLDL form?

Who told that kid to roll the bar like that. I've only seen that in elite lifters, bro also using all kinds of accessories. He needs to ditch that gym and whoever is coaching him.

Deadlift is a pull exercise you don’t push it

What is that analogy? Lmao, so if you tie an elastic band around a plate and pull upwards the band stretches and after it's stretched enough it starts to come upwards, so we want to go up slowly on the deadlift to avoid that because...we are like an elastic band that could move the bar upwards but not move it until something is stretched to it's limit? What?

If he tried to say that your torso needs to stay tight then just say that you need to brace, keep a neutral spine and lock your lats, that analogy makes no sense lol.
