Esther's humanity and everything she cared for was corrupted and destroyed by the system. She wants the other women to understand that what the men did to them, they did to the wives, especially her. So she wants them to feel her pain as well. If she wasn't allowed to love, then no one is allowed.

LOL a kid bossing around women I am sure who could be up to twice her age. Must be so satisfying to some and a play that age is never an indication of really anything: maturity, cruelty, etc.

EDIT: Kudos to McKenna Grace but.... even though she is still young and she had her career start early, she really does have acting chops.

This is the scene that made me instantly dislike the young girl’s character. I don’t care how young, immature, or traumatized you are she should know better than to deal with her pain by sadistically inflicting it on/sharing it with other people, but and especially Janine. That girl has had it the worst out of everyone and I just want her to live happily ever after and be surrounded by unicorns and animals like a Disney princess
