Truck pull to the right while braking only. What is it? #shorts

So, the obvious answer here that I want to drive home is when you have a brake pull to the right as shown it is not the right-side brakes causing the problem. The issue is the driver side brakes are simply not doing their part (due to an internally collapsed brake hose, seized brake caliper piston or seized brake pads in bracket). So obviously a brake pull will occur towards the properly operating brakes. This concern can also be cause by worn suspension components etc. but when everything else feels right while driving and your only concern is a pull while braking, stick with the brake system first! @ford

Dealer says, it needs a front end alignment! And you need new tires, we’re having a sale on them right now!😅

Stuck caliper, slide pin, or brake hose on the left

Brake hose on the left collapsing inside. Replace both front hoses.

If it pulls right only while braking, it could be a couple of things. Right caliper is working and pads are clamping down on rotor but left caliper is not applying pressure to pads and rotor.
OR, a situation that ive seen several times through the years- (im 64, a 1981 honor grad from an auto/diesel tech school)
Just had one wear flexible brake lines were breaking down internally. Van pulled hard to right when stopping, then pulled slightly left for 30 seconds or so after resuming travel. Left flexible line was semi occluded. With brake application full fluid volume could not flow to caliper. Right side braked adequately, causing pull to right. With brakes released, due to line blockage, fluid could not return causing drag and pull on left side.
CHANGE THEM BOTH. If one is occluded chances are other is also occluded to some point. I changed the left hose on a heavily loaded work van. Full fluid flow to left caliper almost pulled me into oncoming traffic with a hard brake application.
I had already purchased the other hose but was short on time.
I immediately found the time to change the right hose!
Happy new year.
Stay safe.
Blessings.

Usually issue on opposite side from which it pulls. Stuck pins bad hose or pads installed incorrectly.

If it pulls right, I’d say most likely the left front brake hose/line. There’s a metal bracket crimped around the rubber hose that over time corrodes and pinches the hose restricting fluid. My ‘10 Expedition done this a couple years ago.

Dealer says you need a new engine. I tell them I think it's just a loose nut behind the wheel!

A dodge neon hung up on the right swing arm?

Pinched left brake hose.. pinched in the bracket that supports the hose. All due to rust ….. common here in Wisconsin

Well now, it could be a brake caliper that is not working properly on the drivers side. It could be a brake hose that is clogged. Or more than likely it is brake pads that are not moving freely because there is a problem with the slides that allow the pads and caliper to move freely on that drivers side. By the drivers side not moving freely the right side is going to work better, causing a pull to the right.. I had a Ford F150 come to my shop years ago. He had been to the dealer repeatedly for the problem. We are in a rust belt area, well the only problem was that the slide areas had swelled up with rust.. I took a file and cleaned everything back down to solid shinny steel, lubricated it all properly and the problem was solved. When the customer came to get his truck and I told him that I had done he actually did not believe that the problem was fixed.. He road tested it and came back with a huge smile on his face.. Because of rusted brake pad and brake caliper sides the truck simply could not brake That was my experience with that trucks particular problem! His dealer had told him that it was a unfixable problem!!

On my 13 expedition it was bad hoses, replaced all four flushed the system and it stops straight as an arrow now. I did have to replace the front rotors due to pulsation but it’s good now.

def LF caliper. the fact it pulls to the right tells me the RF caliber is working. if it came thru my bay, i’d check all brakes, tires etc

It's the duck, move it to the left to equalize the weight. And remember to use only OEM ducks.

Stuck slide pin on driver side, probably the rear. Your videos really saved me some money in the past. Love the channel!

My 2009 did same thing and the rubber flex brake lines on the front were coming apart inside and restricting the pressure just enough to cause it on mine

Left ft brake hose. Attaching bracket internally rusted, restricts fluid.
