Clara was my favorite companion because she wasn’t just a pet for the doctor. She would go toe to toe with him and even defy him. She was a human character and her hubris thinking she could save everyone like the doctor is what killed her. I’ll never know why she got hate. Characters are meant to be flawed and have personalities, not just do whatever the. Doctor asks of them.

Clara was such an interesting character and challenged the doctor's feelings every step of the way. Peter capaldi delivering rhe line "Do you think i care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference" is the gold standard for how the doctor cares for his companions.
