It's beautiful to see him appreciating other actors' work as The Doctor! Peter Capaldi is amazing and I miss Twelve so so

I'd pay to watch a series where Peter Capaldi discusses and reviews his favourite episodes. I know that many people grew up with David Tennant and Matt Smith, but in my opinion Peter Capaldi encapsulates the Doctor so perfectly. He had the gravitas and emotional weight of the Ninth and Tenth doctor but he also brought the same level of energy and playfulness as Eleven. Peter Capaldi has always been a lifelong fan of Doctor Who and it really shows.

For the moment Peter has exactly the same favourite episodes as me. I'm kinda proud about it.

Just imagine, you are a young actor and Peter Capaldi says you have made an amazing, tour de force performance.
Peter "And when I close my eyes..." Capaldi!
That's when you know not only your bow ties, but you are cool! :)

Peter is such a intelligent, gracious and thoughtful man I wish I was more like him.

Now I want Capaldi to just do a string of videos explaining all the planets and species. This was lovely.

I saw a comment today that completely changed the way I viewed this episode. What if there is so much life in this system because the god wanted to explore and couldn't travel, so he made all that life that they could travel, and all he asked was for them to tell him about it every now and then.

Murray Gold gets nowhere near the amount of respect and admiration he gets.

I’m so glad Peter actually brought him up in this instance because not a lot of people would

He made so many other pieces of music that were just outstanding and nobody talks about it, like, at all, which is a huge shame.

When Peter Capaldi calls a speech you made 'beautiful', you win. You don't need to do anything else in life.

The speech at the end makes me weep every time.

I'm so glad this episode was given a spotlight because while I wasn't keen on Series 7 as a whole, I really think this was an underappreciated gem of a story. A society that bases its economy around sentimental worth is something legitimately alien, yet to me still resonates as believable and fascinating.

This is my favorite monologue and favorite doctor who episode. There is something about the way Matt Smith delivers the speech that brings me to tears every time.

I would watch a series where it's just Peter Capaldi talking about his favorite Doctor Who episodes

11th is my favorite Doctor because he doesn't beat the villains with Intelligence, strength (the kind 12 has), companions, strategies, no. He literally beats them by simply being The Doctor.
"Basically, Run."
"There's one thing you never put in a trap... me"
"Go ahead you all can take this box from me, but, do the smart thing... let somebody else try first."
"Fear ME, I've killed all of them."

And of course... the Akhaten Speech.

It would have been nice if the 12th doctor had more episodes with River.

The rings of akhaten's speech and the zygon inversion's speech are both on my playlist on YouTube and I listen to both from time to time.

The Long Song (the track called that, the one they sing to wake him up, not the lullaby), made me decide to start watching Doctor Who

I want to hear him deliver the speech so badly

If all anyone ever saw about Doctor Who was that speech in Rings of Akhaten they basically know all there is to know about the Doctor. I'm so glad an actor of Capaldis stature admires that performance from Matt Smith as much as I do.
