I love Brett so much. I'm in college rn and in a similar situation that she was in where most if not all the girls are liberals and crazy feminists. To anyone else struggling with friendships, relationships etc, just remember that there are people out there that share your views and you are not alone! :)

I like how instead of kowtowing to them and shrinking to fit in, she found the strength to stand for what she believed. A person who goes against the crowd to stand up for their principles IS a person of character. I think things kind of worked out okay for Brett.

It’s better to find out your friends’ true colors early on in life. I’m almost 40 and just lost my best friend of 30 years because she can’t handle that I have different opinions than hers. Never tried to make her believe what I believe and tried not to discuss politics with her, but I made the atrocious mistake of asking my friends for clarity on some things on Facebook in a public post. All because I’m apparently not allowed to question anything. Be careful who you surround yourself with 100%
