Dr. Jordan B. Peterson sits down in person with actor, podcaster, and host of “The Comments Section,” Brett Cooper. They discuss the adversity Cooper faced early on which prompted her to try out theater, the landscape of growing up as a child actor, her positive and negative experiences with Hollywood and university, the psychology of exploitation, why she joined The Daily Wire, her upcoming film and television projects, and her motivation to be a voice for young women who embrace their femininity.

Brett Cooper is a viral internet personality, content creator, and actress. She’s best known as the charismatic host of “The Comments Section with Brett Cooper” on YouTube, captivating over 4 million subscribers with her irresistibly irreverent opinions on current news and cultural phenomena. Brett’s rise to digital fame was meteoric, amassing 1 million followers within just six months of launching her show and surpassing 4 million within two years. She moved from Tennessee to Los Angeles at the age of 10 to pursue acting. After years of balancing homeschooling and a professional acting career, Brett honed her art of storytelling while studying English at UCLA. At just 20 years old, Brett returned to Tennessee to launch “The Comments Section with Brett Cooper” at The Daily Wire. Following the show’s rapid success, the rising star is returning to acting in the forthcoming DailyWire+ animated sitcom “Mr. Birchum” and the historical fantasy series “The Pendragon Cycle.” In a debut role, Brett will star as Snow White in “Snow White and the Evil Queen” in the first feature-length production for Bentkey, The Daily Wire’s children’s entertainment platform.

Brett is the kind of young woman that every dad hopes his daughter grows up to be.

I am a detrans woman now embracing my femininity for the first time in my whole life. I have been freed from suffering transgenderism and I know I was healed by God in a profound spiritual transformation. I'm not conservative but I do appreciate Brett Cooper's contribution as a young woman in contrast to the mainstream culture that acts as if it has women's interests at heart, while undermining our real needs.

Edit: thank you for all the kind comments and likes. I have a documentary about my journey on my channel called Touching the Source.

I wish more young people had a mom like Brett’s to protect them. It’s truly shameful what executives at Hollywood have allowed to happen.

I’m a 32 YEAR OLD MALE, and I subscribed to her channel almost 2 years ago. She is just unique. I have a 3 year old daughter, and wish she can have Brett’s values. Like, at least a similar way of thinking! “I won’t force her at all” NOPE, but inculcate good values on her. And Jordan B. Out of this world too. We need more people like them, all over social media and the world.

Im 34 and my wife, 33 put me on to Brett a few months ago. My wife has been listening to her for a while now. It's amazing how this woman at just 21yrs of age has more common sense than most people my age and then some. She gives me hope that not all Gen Z kids are petulant children. Hoping theres alot more like her to help the world be a better place.

I'm a huge fan of Brett and her show, yet I didn't know the struggle that she had to endure at just 15. She's way ahead of her years!

I often have felt so ashamed about being a girl because I always associated femininity with weakness, mostly because of how my brothers made fun of me for being weaker than them. Really glad Brett is out here encouraging young women to embrace their femininity.

I'm 40, female, and I often watch Brett's videos. She gives me hope that the world is not completely lost and my now 9 years old daughter will be OK, even with all the pitfalls presented to her in the modern world.

As a male gen z college student I needed to hear this podcast episode today really great powerful conversation thank you !
My favorite thing about Brett is that she doesn't cover day to day political events but big cultural issues that really matter. I think Brett is having a big impact with her videos. Like she was saying about her mom she doesn't talk about current events she talks about the fundamental values.

This feels like a public therapy session, it’s really nice to hear people’s genuine opinions and reactions. Bravo Mr. Peterson, another excellent episode.

That's so true about people saying "No" to what they want! I've seen this many times, the fear takes over. One of my friends turned down exactly the job they had dreamed of, another didn't call someone they met randomly who wanted them in on a major project. BE BRAVE WHEN THE OPPORTUNITY ARISES! And don't overthink.

I have just finished the Daily Wire section and my heart is full. I loved and respected Brett before this interview but SO much more now. I hold her in the very highest esteem. The world needs her voice now.
As for Brett’s closing words… I’m working on it, Brett. Dr. Peterson, I’ve been listening to you every day for over two years, and I’ve heard you say a hundred times if I have once that “you need a partner. You need a relationship.” Every time I heard you say it, I gave you an argument. Well, I’ve clean run out of arguments and I’m sick of arguing so I’m actually listening to you now. Think I met someone. We’re making a road trip together to come see you in Boston and a road trip is a pretty good opportunity to talk things over. So what is to be will be and what isn’t to be happens sometimes but Brett and your encouragement here is just what my heart needed.
And as a single mum myself, this conversation was a beautiful Mother’s Day gift.
With Ruth Anne’s love

I have been watching Brett for about a year now and I have recommended her to my daughter who is about to be 20 in a few days. I remind my daughter constantly that she doesn't have to bend to society and have used Brett as an example since they essentially come from the same generation. I love her show and the content she puts out and I love that she can be hard headed and show actual disgust with certain subjects that most people would be afraid to touch, then flipping to a more light hearted subject and be giddy and upbeat. It's refreshing to watch.

Brett Cooper is a great edition to society interaction. She brings something very necessary and we need more voices like hers. Thank you JBP for hosting and Ms. Brett for sharing.

I have so much respect for Brett, she's an inspirational young woman. Brett seems like an old soul, knowing what she wants at a very young age and going after it.

I’m a 30 year old wife and mom. Brett has become my favorite cultural commentator. I love seeing someone who shares the same values, a role model for younger women, and someone with such amazing grace rise up on social media. My niece and daughter already know who she is, even if they aren’t old enough to watch her yet.

Forever laughing and loving every episode!
