Id love for u to give us a "homework" at the end of each episode, each week we would have to draw and practice a specific idea.

Making a character interact with the environment is super challenging for me (like arms leaning on desks, or feet on the ground, etc.). I always end up with either stiff poses or weird ones.

I want to learn all about the fundamentals of art. All the basic stuff. Things like Form, Perspective, Anatomy, Composition, Lighting, etc.

Just some ideas:

1. Critique people's art - (if you have a hard time choosing then you could hold a themed drawing/painting contest?)
2. Talk/show what you like about your favorite artists.
3. Portfolio reviews and ways to make portfolios attractive.

Could we have a video on color and how it creates an real impact on the image in this series?

Can there please be a tutorial on storytelling in an image? Like the kind of image that some one looks at and they think to themselves, "Wow, I want to see the rest of the world that this is a part of." And if I could ask for another one, a lesson about crazy dynamic posing. Like the one you did for Raymer's splash.

I would love to see you talking about values, lighting and how to build believable form.
What is the magic behind that? How to not always come up with objects and figures that look "flat"? How to make your creations "pop" off the screen?

Drawing dynamic poses; drawing / construction of torsos in dynamic poses; Foreshortening Torsos & arms and legs; proportions of body facial features; proper eyes, noses and mouths sizing (especially at / with / different angles of faces); Hands construction with the hands in different positions; tips for getting proper sizing of fingers of females and males. perspectives / and sizing multiple figures in a different compositions. Taking a figure's drawn construction lines up to then actual shaping of character(s) & finalizing the figures. Because I think a lot of learning artists get stuck on the actual shaping of figures after the initial gesture lines & construction lines are done; even in doing faces. Getting the actual formula(s) learned for duplicating ones character again in different poses & or different face angles. Different lighting of faces and using different values to create dynamic figures...

And btw, Kienan, I wouldn't worry about if you do up videos that have a length of an hour or longer; because those who really want to learn will watch long or longer videos, as long as the teaching is very inclusive and though; in depth, in its content. Very few, very, very few UTube teachers are offering up intensive / in depth teaching, on drawing basics, intermediate techniques learning, or advanced techniques; regardless of the subject matter.

I am excited and look forward to you actually endeavoring too take students from basics to being able to draw (cute girls and other stuff) like you did with the cute girl in this video. It would be a wonderful and exciting, intensive ride if you pull out all the just "glancing over techniques" stops, like so many other (so called) UTube art teachers video post. I love your real time teaching method.

I say, if anyone can do it, its you Kienan - go for it!! I'll certainly be one who'll be watching this new video series your proposing.

Sometimes, people just don't know what they need to learn. They know their end goals, but the 'thinking process' behind them might be difficult. Why not look for an actual person that's really interested in art but have no working knowledge and go on from there? Apprentice style. Would be better if that person is somebody you see often so we can see them in the show! Imagine the person tells you what he wants to achieve and you give him exercises along with lessons. Atleast this way, we can see from another beginner's perspective a way to relate while learning, and in turn, tells us their difficulties and how that person managed to deal with those challenges.

You're the best art teacher I ever had, K! Action and grounding poses in 3D space would be great lessons

Hi Kienan! I would personally like to learn about the mentality it takes to not be discouraged and give up on art, because I've been struggling with it throughout my entire career. I think that is one of the most important things to learn as a growing artist.

How to study from life in the most efficient way.
For example, what are techniques to accurately notice shapes and forms?
Some people told me to look at the outlines of things, others tell me to compare distances, etc.
Whenever I see beginners try those things, they clearly overlook shapes and basic forms.
So what can you do about it?

As a 40+ year old, your comments around 7 minutes were especially good to hear. I'm getting back into cartooning after getting sidetracked by life for nearly 20 years! Thank you so much for the inspiration!!
