Phil 3, Immanuel Kant's Theory of Knowledge and Perception

This is an overview of Immanuel Kant's philosophy of knowledge and perception in general. Though his is one of the most influential theories ever created, it is also one of the most abstract. This video introduces and illustrates Kant's general theory of knowledge and perception and will be important for understanding Kant's philosophy of art. Terms discussed include the nomenal and phenomenal world, categories of the understanding, thing in itself, perception, physics, aesthetics, subjective and objective, time and space, and cause and effect, and epistemology.
