Transcendental Idealism and Knowledge | Immanuel Kant #1

The world of philosophy was divided into Empiricism and Rationalism, until Kant showed up to unite them.
This German philosopher (who was born in the former Prusia), stablished a before and an after in the history of philosophy due to his interesting opinions on how our minds allow us to know about the world (or at least a simplyfied image of it!).

A priori is self evident knowledge. It literally means "from what is earlier". As the sun aways sets we can expect this as a continued truth from knowing from earlier. I see how you summarize and I feel if anyone shouldn't be translated by another for others it would be him and Hegel to leave be for the teachers. Sorry to say, but I think you will confuse people.

Over the centuries, Science has given us valuable tools which grandly enhance our senses. The list is too long to mention. So all knowledge obtained by using these tools of sensory extension, is as valid as any information obtained by normal senses, such as hearing, smelling, or seeing.
