I had a great childhood with family that loved me but I fell into a sinful life and a sinful lifestyle during my college years. I didnt care much about God and certainly didnt live in a way that would please Him. I was so lost in sin I didnt realize how bad I had become. Then one night a few years ago I ended up in the emergency room in Dallas, TX thinking I was having a heart attack at the ripe old age of 41. I started praying asking God not to take my life and not only did He spare my life that night but He also changed my life as well. I did not have a heart attack as it turns out but I did experience the Lord in a way that was miraculous...He spoke to me...literally. He asked me to stop doing 3 specific sinful activities and after I promised Him I would stop He told me He was giving me a second chance. And that is what He did. In short, God is real and He helps and saves the lost. Don’t delay in seeking Him out. He told us to seek Him out while He is near. So do just that! Start with Dear Lord...I need help...then talk to Him! Jesus promises not to turn you away.

I needed this. I'm so bored on my job and I'm ready to leave! I don't have any idea what I'd want to do, I just don't want to be here anymore. But I will trust The Lord to continue to prepare me for what's next and I will listen as He leads me on when and how to leave. I'm 21 and I don't have a job. End of the year last year, I encountered Christ in the midst of my problems and been continuing to get to know him and following his words. My family are Christians and we attend church every week. Also, I attend a small group of Christians studying and meditating God's words. My father planned to build a business and I will be the one who will handle it since I studied Pastry and Bakery Arts and Kitchen Management. I know if I started to handle a business, I will surely be so busy until I get old. I told my mother that I want to do my mission as a follower of Jesus Christ and then she said that I still don't have a testimony to share to people. She also said that once I get old and financially stable, then I should do my mission. I know most of what she said to me isn't Biblical but I have to honor my parents. People who I know that have the same business are so busy and they are old. I want to live a meaningful life and I want to serve the Lord. I don't know what to do.
