My average price per share is apx $4.5, I'm still very bullish, and glad that Steward and Massachusetts are nearly in the rear window.

The situation with the Steward operated MA hospitals is not yet closed, at the moment.
The JV MPW-Macquarie is reported to have an "agreement on principle" with Apollo, but it is reported that some detalis still need to be ironed out. In the meanwhile, in Q2 MPW wrote off other $400M due to those hospitals (I guess they consider the agreement with Apollo to be almost sure, but at the moment it is not yet finalized).
Important to be noted: MPW had an out-of-state investor that was interested in taking over the operational part from Steward for all the MA hospitals (while satisfying the MPW conditions), but as far as I understood, that bid did not satisfy the conditions set by the governor: only in-state not-for-profit operators for the MA hospitals.

Thanks, Jussi, for an interesting discussion on MPW, a REIT I once followed but do not own, and probably never will. I stay away from REITs that cut their dividends, especially if there is more than one. Bleah!

All 2024 debt has been covered and according to their call they've got a handle on a good amount of 2025 debt....so I still believe it will be okay long term.

I'm a bag holder of MPW too. Luckily bought the shares with covered calls to get the dividend. I live in Massachusetts and know MPW's hospitals can't compete with the Harvard University hospitals.

this are mostly american hospitals that struggle. MPW is international and well diversifed, not precentage wise.

In my opinion, this news is somewhat disappointing, but more importantly, MPW is making progress with the Steward situation. I'm also still in with a small position for the interesting chance/risk outlook. Lets see what happens next.
