So for all complaining about the "plug in the trigger wires to your existing horn harness" line being unclear, I hear you. I was about to give up and return the harness then I did more research and watched someone else's after market horn installation vid which was very clear what that really means. I didn't want to use my "existing horn harness" but wire up a simple push button to activate the horn. What the "trigger wires" really do is provide + and - power to the relay which activates the horn. I hooked the black "trigger wire" to ground at the same point as the other black ground wire. The red "trigger wire" goes through my horn button and then to the battery positive pole. Push the button, and power goes to the relay and the horn works. Hope this helps. As far as the obnoxious music, I can't help with that :-)

Maybe the loud music was used as a cover for the lack of information? How does this connect to my EXISTING wiring harness???

Sorry, this video does not describe any of the real issue with connecting a horn, namely the need for a relay. This video reduces all of the complexity to the un-helpful sentence "plug in the trigger wires to your existing horn harness." Anyone who needs to watch a video to hook up a horn needs more information than that. If the video provided real information the music wouldn't matter.

Is there a way to set this horn up to run from a power supply that connects to mains power? So that I can avoid the need for a battery pack? And have it constantly powered?

i like the video in the wire harness my question the 2 wires that goes to the trigger wire the factory relay i mine only has 1 wire that goes to the horn pad does the black wire go to a ground on my car, , my horns only have 1 wire and the horns ground to the frame, , my cars a 97 ford taurus with 2 factory horns, , i was going to add 2 more differnt factory horns that came off a caddlac, , but wanted to use a relay for the second 2 horns that are grounded to the frame

This tutorial is mostly for if your running a horn from your battery with an aftermarket switch trigger on and off. If you want to rewire or replace your current horn check a video on your specific car.

Quick question one of my connectors for the stock wiring harness had water in it so should the wire still be good or should i use the positive wire for the other horn to wire power to the trigger wire and i can wire the trigger wire to the chassis for ground

Why is the short wire so much shorter then the long? Shouldn't they be a lot closer in length since most horn setups, the horns are fairly close to each other?

I did the connection with everything; to the horn, the battery and using a alternative horn button and does not work. I have a 2009 Jeep Wrangler, could their be anything else wrong. I did a 12v light test and the fuse is good and the relay female is good.

I took the horn relay to in side fused straight to the battery then column horn blue yellow cut then red clip side gray to column side then at horns put groaned s in were they go add a grind to body then take reds horn to horn and blue yellow horn wire to red then connect it low horn then high horn to it column work as desired .

To plug the trigger wires to a switch or button inside the car. Simply pair the black trigger cable to the battery cable “”between the fuse and the relay””” then run the red wire inside the car and hook it to the positive wire from ur switch. “Make sure u ground your switch inside the car.
