its works and i noticed a good performance increase, but it kills the headsets audio too so u no longer have audio coming from the headset, you'll have to connect a Bluetooth headset to you computer and use audio that way.

Sure, it "works" but COMPLETLY breaks my bindings for VRchat and OVR advanced settings, because on steam it says SteamVR isn't launched, probably because it opens SteamVR directly.

As of posting this all works correctly the only issue is that it might open the app for you but it will make things work a little more smoothly and quickly😊

for me it keeps the oculus app open as that actually has to run to do tracking but it does put you in steam vr with out starting the oculus starting menu (oculus rift s - newest drivers)

So does this mean the oculus app is busted? Because oculus link stoped working for me a couple of days ago and if i use this bypass and go to steamvr directly it works perfectly.

a recent quest update has broken my f***ing headset! doing this did not work to fix it. Now my vr set will not find my pc at all, im even using a link cable.

is there a fix for my problem i have used oculus killer for a couple of years now but sense the last 2 oculus updates now my headset wont connect to oculus air link i tried many methods of deleting files, deleting the entire app off and redownloading it but nothing works its just a infinite black loading screen on my headset i even checked off the app extensions on the file management but still nothing im currently using virtual desktop but its giving me network problems and im just getting annoyed

Doesn't work at all with the 2016 Oculus Rift, just says headset not connected within steam vr.

I tried to find a way to connect to steamvr without oculus app because it always said that the grapchis card isn't compatible but this didn't work for me 🙁

it doesnt work on the new update, oculus link fucks up and makes you exit out of the application on your quest so it loops, sorry.

I got the Oculus Rift CV1 working in SteamVR wihtout logging into a Meta/Facebook/Oculus account. But I still get the ugly Meta Logon screen with Continue with Facebook | Continue with Instagram | Set up account with email | Login in with email. I did the Dash Killer and isolated the oculus software via my windows Firewall so it can't phone home. If I close that Meta Logon screen, it closes the the Oculus drivers and SteamVR - anyone know a way to kill that screen too?

following this tutorial has made my oculus app completely uninstall itself and prevent quest link from showing up on my headset, wouldnt recommend doing this unless you got fast internet to reinstall the oculus app should whatever happened to me happens to anyone else

My issue I have with this is it launches with two different dashes. I think the old dash, the more round and gray one, is the one that 'causes my games to have no bindings while the newer one, the large black one, works fine.

Is there a fix for this?

This doesn't work! I guess they patched it but steam be comes up saying it needs oculus app running! I want to play wired quest 2 on my PC but the oculus app won't detect my headset
