I love all of the fan reaction videos I've seen for the 50th anniversary special of Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor. I thought I'd try and put a few of them into one video so that the reactions could be seen simultaneously.

I've never edited anything before and found it extremely difficult. I know there are a lot of issues with my final edit but for a first attempt I'm pretty proud of it. I used PiTiVi on Ubuntu 13.10 and it kept crashing. I couldn't get the videos exactly where I wanted them and I totally gave up on trying to mix the audio. Also they kept going out of sync. It took me a full two hours to do the above. Huge respect to those who edit videos, it's really hard work!

My compilation only takes a little bit of their respective reactions, go to their individual videos for the full experience to see how they reacted to other parts of the 50th!

If Eccleston were coming on DotD, they could have done, like, at the very end, a scene where the TARDIS is redesigned and Eccleston is redressed, then he finds an Auton signal in Earth, 2005, and he goes into the mall underground, then he'd hear Rose's voice, then the directors could have put a footage in 'Rose' when Ninth grabs Rose's hand and says, "Run!"
That would have been EPIC.

I remember seeing this in the theatre on Nov 23 and the VERY LOUD boos when they didn't show the finish of his regeneration into Eccleston. In fact, someone shouted out "fuck you Eccleston, you couldn't show up for even one day? Even Paul did his regeneration!" the whole place laughed!

From DenOfGeek.com on why they didn't show the The War Doctor regenerating into the Ninth Doctor completely:  "[...] Steven Moffat has revealed a little more about the 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who. In Day Of The Doctor, we see John Hurt beginning to regenerate, right up to the point where Christopher Eccleston should appear. But then the episode cut away, and Steven Moffat has been explaining why. It was one thing to include [Christopher Eccleston] among all the other archive Doctors, as they flew in to save the day - in fact, it would have been disgraceful to have left anyone out - but placing him in that scene might have given the impression he'd actually turned up for filming, which would have been crossing the line", Moffat said. He went on to add that "not taking part in the 50th was a difficult decision for Chris, taken after a lot of thought and with great courtesy, and not respecting his wishes would have been grossly unprofessional and disrespectful to a good man and a great Doctor. Number nine may not have turned up for the celebrations, but there would have been no party without him".

I just have to say it really is a shame on all parts:
      Obviously whatever the reason, both parties or one or the other was not happy or satisfied with one another and the people it hurt the most-- The Fans.
      I can't really point the finger and put the blame on either BBC or Eccleston. If Eccleston had a shitty time or was hard to deal with, so be it. but I will say that for a moment, when you see the "and for my next trick" bit, even though it was stock footage, it was more than enough to troll and fool anyone and everyone to think Eccleston was on for the 50th and then for this scene to happen, it was a bummer.... 
     In the end, it really is a shame for what had happened and that the fans of Doctor Who ESPECIALLY fans who's first doctor was nine....

If only Moffat had trolled us in saying that Eccleston wouldn't show up, and then he does. The screams all over the world would've reached the next two planets.
