To be fair to the Doctors, they've been in so many prisons over the years, that the notion of the door being left unlocked would be ridiculous.

If 10 is "The Man Who Regrets" and 11 is "The Man Who Forgets" I'd like to think that 9 is "The Man Who Mourns"

My heart breaks for Matt Smith's Doctor in this scene, seeing just how broken he was at that point. The youngest actor playing the oldest Doctor and I never doubted it for a second.

This shows how much the Doctor hates himself, the way they talk to themselves in the most brutally honest way, almost about to throw hands at each other.

In the novelization the tenth and eleventh doctors get into an actual physical fight in this scene. The war doctor has to get in between to stop them.

It took 3 doctors 400 years to get through an unlocked door.

I love the fact that this scene establishes that there was an ongoing calculation hard-coded into the software of the sonic screwdriver for 400 years that ultimately turned out to be utterly pointless

"It just occurred to me, this is what I'm like when I'm alone" that's such a heartbreaking line with so much weight.

The crazy thing is that even though 11 says he doesn’t know that look he gives right before he answers says that he knows the exact number

I love watching Matt and David act off eachother in THAT exchange. Like, David is an amazing actor and one of my all time favourites, but Matt was matching that intensity and taking it up a notch. Absolutely heart wrenching

"You forgot! 400 years, is that all it takes?"

David Tennant will always be my Doctor. Matt Smith was exceptional, Christopher Eccleston's run was over too soon and Peter Capaldi never had the material he deserved to work with, but David... as far as I am concerned he was THE Doctor. He truly embodied everything that makes the Doctor so memorable and timeless.

Credit to Billie Piper for not only her wonderful stints as Rose, but also for being The Moment. She was wonderful.

“Do you have to talk like Children? What is that makes you so ashamed of being a Grown Up?” You said it yourself, there’s no point in being Grown Up if you can’t be Childish sometimes.

The thing about Matt Smith is when he was first cast, one complaint was that he looked too young. From the first episode and especially here. I always felt he came off as an old man in a young body. I swear he seems like the old man in this trio. Youngest looking but carries himself as an older man. With Hurt looking for guidance as a young one. Tennant the pep of a teenager.

This moment is a perfect microcosm of the show. The doctor get wrapped around inside his own head for the vast majority of the time, but is in fact smart enough to devise a solution, then a companion arrives to ask the question the doctor completely forgot rendering the entire wrap around moot. I love it. In this case there happen to be 3 doctors, so the wrap around if fully externalized.

What I like most about this scene is that it embodies David's 10th Doctor to a T. He was always the guy who regretted what happened during the time war, but never tried to end it differently (see School Reunion). His anger at the 11th forgetting is 100% on point for his character. Good job by the writers.

The way these actors (and the show) manage to shift the mood so rapidly from is absolutely incredible.

"The one who regrets, and the one who forgets". Tennant is definitely my favorite doctor, but I always forget how sad Smith's doctor is. He's trying to forget. He's trying to be better. He's trying to forget what he's done, and who he was. He's so childish yet so old in the same breath. It hurts

Admittedly, the War Doctor’s plan was pretty clever

"For once, I would like to know where i'm goin...
-No, you really wouldn't."

And those eyes. Those deep, terrified eyes are enough to make 10th reconsider. He saw 11th lived some terrible moment he moved on from. And stoped the argument immediatly.
