Made for a great video bro and yes I too enjoyed the highway patrol song. Safe travels. Ken.

In New Hampshire that move requires a State Police Escort and they won’t guarantee the man power to escort you. So consequently everyone does what you did, 5 am Sunday morning. I use heavy duty key rings in place of the caribiners, but they’re getting hard to find. Love the vids as always!

Watching all that flat land roll by reminded me of a story one of my uncles told. He was a welder for Electric Boat (submarine makers) and they sent him and his family to Idaho Falls (at least as I remember, but that was 65 years ago and the memory is getting a bit fuzzy) to help build the reactor and components for the Nautilus. The story he told was that no one slowed down for bad weather, fog, rain, etc. because if you ran off the road the only thing you would hit was some of the pucker brush. Even as a young'un I'm not sure I believed him 100%, but it was a good story.

Always found out that semies seem to attract stupid people like a magnet to steel. Believe me, I have had my share. Boss frowns on me bringing cars stuck to the front of the truck back to the shop LOL

Jeff,
the “split ring” (or maybe called a coil), that you see on key rings, might be the fix for those flags. I have seen them in “Ace” hardware stores, that are up to 2-inches in diameter, and I believe are stainless steel. They are pretty stout.
Great road video,
Thank you sir.

When I used to pull logs I would sometimes move equipment. We had a mid size Komatsu dozier and it was a load to move but I can't imagine what a load like that D9 would feel like to haul even with a big Cat engine like you have. My truck had a 400 Cummins and a 13 speed with 44, 000 rears. We had a Morbark whole tree chipper that weighed 110, 000 pounds. It was a load for my truck to move. I notice you have a lot of flat wide open terrain and highways. Not like the pig paths I used to run here in middle Georgia. Enjoyed the ride and brought back some memories from a lifetime ago...

I have a feeling with the Caribbean things on the flags. They flop around so much and where the wire goes to the flag it’ll hit on the machine and pop it off the magnets we use have a bolt-coming up through the magnet, no carabiner and just with a wingnut bolt to the flag I’ve never lost one.😊 that is a good song

When I'm wrenching I hang my ring on a lanyard and carabiner, keep it around my neck. The carabiner hook like you have, only mine is smaller, i slide a piece of tubing over to protect and help keep locked. I think you could also find a spring, compression type, the right size and length to cover the clasp side. then just slide the spring back and swing open, then re-close and the spring will safety cover the latch. Or get more inventive and use a shorter spring and metal tube sleeve to slide over the clasp. Love your videos, good luck. thanks.

Great video Jeff always enjoy watching you haul Killdozer to the next job. Probably have to get the locking carabiner to keep from losing your flags going down the road. Love the music you put with this video stay safe Jeff.
