I am amazed at what people say. If you know art supplies, you know why you would spend that much on colored pencils. I work at a craft store and we sell art supplies. Lots of people comment about the price of Prismacolor pencils. But once you use them, you understand the difference between Crayola and Prismacolor. Yes Crayola is good for beginners or kids but I would go for the higher quality anytime. Plus, we spend a lot of time coloring and I want my stuff to last which is another reason to spend that much. Also, the best reason, because they are pretty. Don't listen to those people. You spend your money on what makes you happy. I love your videos. I hope you enjoy the colored pencils.

I just read ALL the comments in Thus video and I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!! because we're ALL the SAME pretty much!! yay!! so nice to "meet " all you crafting gals😃😃😃 we all love Amy and her videos, thank-you Amy!! keep the videos coming. Thanks to Amy, I now own some Sparkle Markers and the cute and adorable set if UNICORN stamps and dies!! I'm so EXCITED! i would have never even thought of making sweet rainbows and unicorns cards, if it hadn't been for Amy's video! i got solo excited when I watched her make these adorable rainbow unicorns!! CONFESSION: making Amy's rainbow unicorns card is SO MUCH better than taking antidepressants. Just a little tip. Buy an empty marker, (Copics work well. I use an "empty" Sketch marker), and fill it with your mineral spirits (I like gamsol). Works great for blending. I also have the full set of Polychromos and the full Caran d'Ache Luminance. I LOVE both. I kept an eye on Amazon for these and got them on Lightening Deal sales for about 65% off for the Luminance and about 72% for the Polychromos.

I have all different brands of color pencils, and yes some of them are Crayola, they are left overs from when my boy's were in school.lol  I don't pay attention to people telling me what I should spend my money on, lol, not even my husband.  I work for it, I pay my bills, they don't give me money, it's really none of their business. lol You go girl, do your thing and be happy while you do it!  Hugs<j>

I don't think anyone has the right to judge what you do with your money. If your children were without food or a home, well then maybe. lol... Back in early April, I purchased the 120 count of Faber Castell Watercolor Pencils...And I love them! I am like you, in that I didn't want to disturb the beautiful display of color. Now that I am using them, I take the time to place them back into the same original order and they are still pretty to look at. I was thinking about getting the Colored Pencils, but i have a full set of Prismacolor pencils (had mine for about 8 years) and I haven't really used them all that often. However, that doesn't stop me from WANTING to purchase the FC brand. For now, I'll watch you use yours before I decide to buy them.

Polychromos are so nice and can blend beautifully I don't understand when people say it's hard to blend anyway I love them so I will never change from them

Just got a set of the Prisma Colors last weekend and got to work with them tonight. It was a pain sharpening all of them. Have a set of Faber Castell it's been with me forever. Loved the Prisma and still love my Faber Castell. TFS

I can relate to you just wanting to look at them & not use them!  That's why I have a drawer of Anna Griffin & other papers.  It cheers me up when I just look at them.  I actually think it's because I grew up hanging wallpaper with my Mom.  A lot of the patterns remind me of old-time wallpaper designs.  Thanks for your video.

They're soooo pretty when you open them - like you, I didn't want to disturb them! I've had Prismacolor for a while and found them to be nothing but trouble. Sharpening them is a nightmare because they just keep breaking. I've been wondering if I just got a bad lot. I bought myself a set of 36 Polychromos and I love them! I've used all sorts of brands and have found that each of them have their own characteristics which you can exploit depending on the project you're working on.
As for spending up on expensive supplies, I've been colouring and crafting for many years and have been collecting different types of media for all of those years as I'm sure you have. People tell me I have so much and I'm so lucky. And of course I have and I am, but it's taken me years to get that way. My collection didn't appear overnight! And you're right, some people spend up big on booze - our priorities are just different.

I am very happy to know that there is someone else in the world who would like to be able to keep one set of pens, pencils or crayons in pristine condition just to look at and admire the perfection. I feel the same way about the pencils and I feel that way about paper packs too. :)
Ignore people who give you a hard time about the cost of your supplies. I am sure they spend their money on the things that they love so why shouldn't we spend our money on the things that we love.
