Trying Watercolor Pencils | Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer | First Impressions

I filmed this on March 6th, but I had birthday plans and didn't have time to edit and upload it until today.
I hope the sounds of my husband and son in the kitchen aren't too distracting, they were doing dishes.

Happy Birthday 🎉 the pencils looked great - never used this brand but have tried the Derwent Aquarelle ones and they are a lot of fun to use. Faber Castelle are one of the best art brands out there, my daughter has the 120 Polychromos coloured pencil tin and they are amazing, I just love looking at them 😍 looking forward to seeing more videos from you using your pencils 😊 no snow here in the 🇬🇧 looks so pretty

I have this watercolor pencils too, but only the smaler set :D
I realy have problems with them when I lay them down like you did. What Iuse most of the time is, that I use the tip of the pencil and take the color with a brush right from it :)
Also what I heard is good to make kind of like a pallette. You draw the colors that you want on a paper, like a bit thicker and then you activate them with some water and use it like that to color

I have a set of Inktense and a set of the Albrecht Durers. The Albrecht Durers have many more pastel colors and lighter colors than the Inktense. I like to layer the watercolor pencils by using Inktense, activating them and then going in with other watercolor pencils. That way I can have something like pen and ink with WC wash. Also, if you want to cover up or lighten color that is already down, use and Inktense white stick on the dried, painted surface. Using a brush, mix it up pretty thick and use it to paint with. You can work over it with Inktense once it is completely dried (I don't know about whether the AD's go over the inktense.)

I always have the problem that my pencils look sooo nice in their Box, i dont want to take them out and use them ^^

Faber Castel is a very good brand. don't worry so much about sharpening them. they won't crumble, if they do contact the company because you got a bunk set. but I doubt that will happen. enjoy them!

I do have a set of 24 intense pencils if you let them dry long enough then they are permanent. Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer Watercolor Pencils from what I read on the internet and on YouTube if you let them dry long enough then they're permanent too.
