Code Geass is making its comeback with another new anime project, and Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture has finally set its release date with a new trailer and poster! Code Geass previously celebrated its 15th anniversary milestone a few years ago with the announcement that the franchise would be continuing with a slate of new projects expanding its world and universe. Fans have seen the franchise continue with new films picking up from the original TV anime's story, and now the franchise is returning for a slate of new films taking the story to a whole new kind of level.

The series forms part of the Code Geass Next 10Years Project, which is a plan for the future of the Code Geass franchise first revealed by series producer Kojiro Taniguchi in 2019. The 10Years Project was kicked off with the Lelouch of the Re;surrection film which hit US theatres in May 2019.

AnimeJapan 2024 brought an all-new update for the fans of Code Geass. The fandom was treated to exciting news about the upcoming installment, Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture. During a special stage event, a new trailer and visual were unveiled, alongside the announcement of release dates for all four parts of the film project, as well as details about its distribution.
