In my manual MB, sport mode also rev matches the engine with the gear you have selected before disengaging the clutch. So if you have Neutral and put it into 3rd, it will rev match (let's say it'll go from 800RPM to 3500RPM @ 70 km/h) before actually you're done switching gears, even if you don't put any pressure on the gas. I'm guessing this is to get the optimal amount of torque. Really cheeky and smart.

When you start off in comfort there is turbo lag. In sport or sport+ there is no turbo lag: very useful when you want to drive into a busy roundabout, for example, and have to be quick off the mark.

If you're going to talk about sports mode, you should also talk about Sport+ (Plus) mode and also about the paddle shifters. What would have been even more useful is an example of how to swiftly downshift on the highway for the purpose of quickly accelerating and passing.

Its basically rev matching like a manual, so it actually does make a difference. It unlocks the power of the car.

We have the c350e hybrid, and I have just recently been playing with Sports+ mode. Feels like a different car altogether. Not sure if performance is actually better, just tighter steering and what seems like an exaggeration of every bump or pebble I drive over.

Really liked the video. Personally, I'd say that quicker throttle response, quicker kickdowns and higher RPM shifting does make the car feel differently, despite not actually being more powerful; let's use the term "alive" - it makes the car feel more alive.

So I just bought a 2020 C-class, and when I have it in Sport+ mode it up shifts perfectly, but when I put my foot on the brake it downshifts pretty hard, NOT EXTREMELY HARD, but just enough to the point where I can feel it

It seems like people don't explain what does it do S gear when you switch to S, does it save gas does it damage your engine the long run OR BETTER in residents driving or freeway driving

Does the car uses more Petroleum when it is in Sport Modus?
