From 2021 to 2022, one specific type of restaurant grew 105% in the US: pop-ups, or temporary restaurants. From 2022 to 2023 there were 155% more pop-ups. If you’re a foodie in a US city, it’s made the diversity of food you can get today higher than ever before. Why are so many chefs deciding to "pop up' all of a sudden?

She works for Eater, a food website. Not that her occupation is being an Eater but still funny 😂

Pop ups were great when they started, now they often charge more than restaurnts, whilst serving worse food, and you typically dont even get a seat. Stuff that.

Restaurants have become so insanely expensive I simply don’t eat at them anymore, pop-up or no. They’re like something from the “old world” for me, like seeing someone off at their airline gate. Stuff we used to do when the world was different.

I think its cause gen z wants "attractions". We want something that is finite, that has a sense of urgency, like if I dont go this minute theyre gonna be gone or sold out

Hey buddy! Don't give up; success is on the way. Stay consistent, patient, and optimistic. The journey might be tough, but the reward will be worth it. Trust the process. ✌️
