PC Build Common Mistakes - Silly Noob Mistakes When upgrading A Gaming PC. This PC gamer's attempted to upgrade his gaming pc was a flop as he was getting no successful POST.
I helped him trying to find the problem, and almost immediately the problem was very clear since he did not check for compatibility of the upgraded parts, i.e the new motherboard did not support his exiting processor, despite being on the same socket 1151 from Intel. In this video I cover some common pc build mistakes especially when trying to upgrade.

okay i understand what happened you have to check that the chipset supports the processor that you want to use, some motherboards have lower end chipsets but can still be used on with newer processors if the bios is updated, but you would have to have a compatible cpu on it, that's why its best to get the right chipset in the beginning to avoid that potential problem as well.
