Reviewing Nvidia GPUs Isn’t Worth It

Why hasn’t LTT reviewed the Nvidia 4070 Super or the rest of the new Super series? Because Nvidia’s embargo dates don’t make sense.

So glad you guys are taking a stand on this. It's about time reviewers and buyers started pushing back on nVidia's complete BS.

Yet another person named "Linus", that gives NVIDIA the bird...

When a $1000 80 class GPU is the least unapealing option.

None of the reviews seems to be enthusiastic about these super products.

NVIDIA: Let double our amount of free exposure by creating multiple embargos for the same product.
Linus: *Reverse uno card*

Agreed, seeing the 4080 super reviews and it is pretty much what people expected. A slightly overclocked version of the 4080, with barely any noteworthy improvement.

They should review a Super Soaker instead. It would be more interesting

Nvidia is trying to get as much free advertising as possible.
9 embargoes is absurd.

I didn't even notice that you didn't do a review because everyone knew exactly how these cards would perform already. Furthermore, the 4080 Super (and frankly the 4080 vanilla) exist in this weird space with no demand. You either get a 4070 Ti Super Duper or a 4090; there's just not that much of a market between those.

Having separate review embargos for the Founder's Edition vs the AIB cards is beyond scummy.

I'm waiting for a $500-$600 RX 8800 and calling it a day. These prices are insane.

I currently have an EVGA 3070 FTW3 but moving forward I will more than likely switch to AMD.

NVIDIA is acting paranoid like they're some upstart when they make more money on their commercial gear anyways.

That video on the parallel testing was an interesting video. If you are running a database and generating reports using BI software (like Tableau, PowerBI, etc), then you can give links to your charts in the video description, host those reports publicly, then have those charts updated as an overnight process. This would create a central repository of data for your audience to look at (rather than hunting down a 2-3 year old video) and also give you an opportunity to have corrections automatically publish as you upkeep the database.

While those testing vids might not get a lot of views, they're personally some of the most interesting ones for me as somebody more interested in the actual tech over games. Hope they keep on coming!

Nvidia are just screwing themselves at this point. Those embargos are insane, and I'm glad you're taking a stand on this.

Bravo. In full support of this initiative, we can abstain from watching all the other tech channels falling in line with Big Green's scheme.

agreed, nvidia is desperate to control press on an utterly mundane release

Isn't it their goal to have these tons of embargos to get more videos out and thus more publicity?
