I really want that list of 4, 500 different configurations.

Finding the oldest hardware, the most unique configuration, or even my own configuration would just be really fun.

Also if I go to build a new PC, it would be interesting to check it against this list just to see if it's being developed for specifically

I’m not looking for a performance boost I’m looking for stability

Does anyone remember Omega Drivers? They were independently tweaked drivers that ran better and geared towards gaming. They used to be the way to squeeze a few more frames out and actually have a stable card.

Me playing 10 year old games but still regularly downloading the latest driver because :)

There should be a way of making this system more modular, so that fixes specific to certain games would be downloaded only when needed.

Imagine Nvidia putting on a brave face when Bethesda told them that the choppy framerates in the launch build were intended...

I have some doubts about how a lot of bloatware that resides in memory to recommend, at the most inopportune moments, to do an upgrade or change under the hood settings can improve performance. The fact that it records telemetry at all times and is in constant communication with their servers comes at a cost.
How about also having the old way: I go to settings, launch an optimization, choose which settings to use or choose not to use them and exit.

I had a RIVA TNT2 16MB graphics card. It made the graphics of the Thief demo look like liquid (and I got that demo in a PC Gamer magazine CD)..

I’d doesn’t give performance boost, but it will in many cases prevent driver crashes that would otherwise happen for a game at launch. Learned that with Battlefield games especially.

As someone who has an Intel CPU, an Nvidia GPU and plays Hitman World of Assassination, this felt weirdly specific 😂

I updated my drivers (4-5 days back) and now I'm facing some screen blinking issues... while watching any video, randomly a small square black screen occur just for a second, while I'm doing some work on my brave and I shift tab then some blinking/flickering occurs just for 1 second and my task manager is also blinking/flickering while moving the cursor... Pls if you have any solution regarding this then pls tell me man

There are some blatant cases where the "game ready" is mostly nvidia fixing literally broken games they have early access to.

I’m curious to see how well NVK will do. Combined with Nouveau, maybe the Free drivers will be good enough to run.

I stopped using force experience a year or two ago. It's buggy, broken and faster to download the standalone install. Geforce experience is a dial up modem.

there was a time that i experience a performance boost when upgrading my driver to the latest, that time my driver was a year late than the latest one and then i tried to update it and i did gain a lot of FPS, not sure how many but from a stutter slow movement to a smooth 60fps, by the way the game is Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

Now if only they would clean up their old driver installers instead of letting them pile up in the ProgramData/NVIDIACorporation folder for very little reason. That and fixing it so it doesn't reset your background when you you are using multiple displays with different backgrounds. These two things are what put me on driver update frequency of every few months or if I do buy a demanding AAA game or run into issues with a game and am troubleshooting.

Cool. Now I don't have to feel bad about forgetting to update my graphics drivers for six months or more.
