Why are my LEDs only lighting up red?
This is because you have 24v LED strips using a 12v power supply.
This is the case for all RGB and RGBW LED lights.
The only way to resolve this issue is you you were to get a 24v power supply and swap it for the 12v power supply, so that the 24v supply matches the 24v of the LED strip

Here is another great video similar to this

Replaced my LED strip lights after the old ones went dead with the same brand and (seemingly) the same model. Because I thought everything was the same, I didn’t bother replacing the power adapter and was so stumped when only the red lights were working and it seemed super dim. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO AND FOR SOLVING MY PROBLEM, YOU ARE A HERO AND A SAINT

The only thing that was working was my green and red rgb strip light. Other color like white, blue, pink, yellow and etc are not working.

Thank you so much. You just made my son so happy. I don't understand why they would give a power cord that wasn't powerful enough to work on the strip. Luckly my son had another power cord that was stronger for something else. Awesome straight forward video.

Also most of the time I try changing the color with the remote right, but it doesn’t do anything and sometimes it changes fine to every color except the blue ones and instead of blue it’s purple, and I am pointing at the sensor

I cut the strip and used a corner connector. Now the end piece after the corner only lights blue but the rest of the piece closest to the power supply works fine. Can it be fixed?

hey there, im having a similar problem with my LED strip only lighting up red, but in my case, when the RGB module is turned off (from the remote), the red light keeps glowing bright. I checked for the voltage the LED strip needs just like what you did in the video, and it already says DC 12v. Im already using the correct power supply for my case. I tried replacing the RGB controller module with a brand new one, and it still didn't solve the problem. Next, i replaced the 12v power supply (i read somewhere in a website that it might be due to a bad power supply. It did solve the problem and works as normal for maybe 3-4 hours, but after that, the red light keeps on glowing even after the module is turned off. If i unplug the power source, the red light do turn off, but it doesn't turn off instantly, it fades out until it finally dies off. If you have something / suggestions that might help me, please reply, thank you very much

So I thought it was a problem with my Gigabyte motherboard but now with Asus I still get this thing. When I set all of my LED light strips and fan frames to WHITE they become RED instead. Lowering the brightness makes them white again but darker. Basically more brightness makes them orange to red, as if the blue and green LEDs were failing for some reason. Both the light strips and fan frames are by Phanteks and connected to a single RGB header.
