Are the applications of this particular example strictly limited to the physical/material aspect, or are there other areas, like statistics or something, that that this would be used to evaluate?

Your recent video on the picture of the blackhole was great. How come they don't use telescopes orbiting as you said? And if the margins of perception and measurement are down to 10-⁸units, then how does the trajectory of the Earth, given its total velocity with the solar system moving, not affect the end result/compilation of pictures?

There are numerous reasons I think this needs to be done in outer space; being able to take an array of pictures simultaneously seems highly advantageous and reduces the amount of "imagination" scientists might have to use to piece things together. For some reason, I have doubts on the accuracy of what they photographed. I don't doubt it's a blackhole, but it seems like they improperly phased things, just gauging by the process and the image itself. Do the 3 blobs not raise any eyebrows as to what calculations would predict?
