I had the upmost honor to have met Mr. Lee at the Long Beach International Karate Championships in the late 60's. I was in first year Taekwando and I was 14 years old and my father took me to see the tournaments. I was awestruck. His hands moved so fast you couldn't follow them! Simply amazing human being. I only was able to say hello to him, but I will never forget his incredible smile and piercing eyes. It was also the first time I had ever seen someone do a 2 finger push up. Super human.

Bruce was about acquiring knowledge 24/7. He accepted no limits and always aspired to greatness. I would not be surprised.

Very good explanation, Dan Inosanto did confirm this in an interview from some years back. I have that interview. When describing and explaining Bruce Lee as a Martial Artist and fighter, it goes beyond methods and techniques. What Bruce Lee tapped into is something truly unique and unmatched. When you look at the spiritual aspects of Bruce and his capabilities, I don't think the human brain can really comprehend. Jim Kelly also said Bruce was untouchable, and I believe it. He knows and can read your mind as it is calculating what attacks and techniques you will apply when fighting. That's why he no longer uses a style to fight against you. He just intercepts your attack right when your brain sends the signal to your arms or legs for your attack. In a half of a second you are put to sleep or broken. That's why Bruce did not want to participate is competitive match fights. It's just limited technique vs limited technique with structure and rules. Even with modern day MMA. All fighters are good and can beat each other. But all those fighters are not truly great and distinct and have an edge over any fighter. They are conformed to that structure.

Bruce Lee is one of my idols, since I was 8 years old. Since then I read and I watch everything about him. I am 44 years old now and first time I hear something like that. I am amazed. Thank you Beerdy for going so deep about Bruce Lee and let us know. It was so unfair for him and for us dying so young, so unfair.

Be like water has a deeper meaning after all. And when you think about it, it makes so much sense.
Thanks, Beerdy!

I am a Zen Buddhist and I learn directly from a Rinzai and Soto Zen master. This is correct that achieving this 3rd person perspective may be the highest level of achievement in meditation. When one can become totally present with their environment and this includes oneself. Great work Beerdy! 😊🙏🏻

Bruce said I DO NOT HIT YOU, FOR IT HITS YOU ALL BY ITSELF, DO NOT THINK BUT FEEL",
Anyone that has trained in martial arts for many yrs should know what this means,
You get to a point that you do not think about how to defend or attack. your instinct and ingrained training really does take over. you DO NOT think what to do. IT simply does it by itself. you DO NOT know martial arts, infact you BECOME martial arts, you are as one,
I have trained in martial arts for 32 yrs the same amount of time that Bruce lee lived his whiole life and yet Bruce didnt start Training in martial arts untill he was around 12 or even later i think ? But i will declare that though i am very experienced and skilled i AM NOT on Bruce lee, s level,
I have always trained in what some of us regards as a hard martial art, ie kickboxing, muay thai, and Krav maga.
Despite my 32 yrs experience i have never encorporated Meditation into my trainning, But in many ways i no doubt should have.
Whetever skills or abilities i have acquired over the yrs im sure they would now no doubt be enhanced twice over if i also meditated. i have witnessed over the yrs some attributes some martial artist have gained through meditation and yes some seem otherworldly,
Do you really think Shaolin monks could do such things and also have such a high pain threshhold if it wernt for their way of life in meditation ? Bruce lee also adopted this way of life and knew the full benefits of meditation. im well aware that you really can have an out of body experience with it, and you can channel your mind and spirit into realms that cant always be scientically explained.
Most people are only now realising the benefits of meditation, and the powers of the subconscous mind. shaolin monks and the like have known these benefits for many generations, and it goes without saying Bruce lee too would have come across them in his quest to be the very best that he could possibly be. in Bruces short life he mastered not only phenominal skills but also a serene knowledge in psychology and phylosophy and not all can come from a book. Bruce lee really was the real deal as a martial artist. and probably more importantly he was the REAL DEAL as a human being.

The idea of "Meta-man" is very intriguing. He has such lighting speed movements. His brain and neurons has to be just as fast going into 3rd person view for combat. 🤔 Awesome video! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

Wow... So it's like a next level sense or awareness that Bruce Lee had. I can only imagine like for instance in the Robert Downey Jr version of Sherlock Holmes. He already analyzed the room, the opponent and went different tactics or possibilities in his mind and everything around him slows down. And went the fight takes place it's like what you told us how Dan Inosanto felt: that Bruce Lee knew his every move. He anticipated. Now to have that skill is extraordinary!
I am also absolutely sure that no one could've beaten him. No one.
