DarkXero is a true hero. With all the power outages in Lebanon, he is just formidable. Kudos!

XeroLinux is great! I am a big fan Arch spins, at present running Reborn and Manjaro.. they run great with old and or underpowered hardware 👍

Xerolinux has been my daily driver for a year now. No Arch distro I have used, and I have tried most of them, has been as solid as this. And while I also have an AVlinux and a Mabox drive I use. Xero is my primary.

Xero is really just vanilla arch with nice theme's and easy installer. Garuda and Cachy have real changes under the hood with packages. So depending on what people want those are all solid choices.

Throwing it on a VM to check out, currently running big as my daily driver.

I have had hit or miss with Arch in the past probably me but anyways. This one was issue free. It is beautiful and better yet it just works. I think its one of best distros out there. Its just solid!

You will have 100k by the end of 2023 the way M$ and Apple are running the show. Thank you Troy.

I like the new overview/review format that bypasses redundancy. You might want to have a video dedicated to the standard typical installers (Fedora/Ubuntu/Arch) where you can just reference that video in case people are jumping in to something unfamiliar (i.e. a longtime ubuntu user who's never used Fedora). Also, eliminating covering software that is pretty much stock across most distros is very welcome. Seeing what version(s) of gimp or kdenlive is fine. Actually running the applicationis seems extraneous. The only change I'd make is bypass doing all the stuff within the live CD. showing it, then flipping to a pre-installed VM would accomplish that by installing it before recording, booting to the boot CD, cover that, reboot to installed VM, done.

There are some people who want to build their operating system.
And vanilla Arch Linux is the best way to learn Linux.
It let's you build your system from scratch.

Yes, vanilla Arch Linux is much easier to install now a days. But you still need to build and install your software collections from scratch. Good if you want to learn Linux, bad if you want to get things running right away.

Instead of Ubuntu, I run Sparky Linux Semi-Rolling. Instead of Fedora, OpenSuse Tumbleweed, and instead of vanilla Arch, Endeavour OS. All of them are KDE Desktop environments. All of them are rolling releases and all of them makes Linux much easier for a Windows converts like me.

I did download spiral linux ( XFCE) and is great too, is installed in one of my 5 computer...and i am very very satisfied with the performance and it will be permanent installed in this computer.

I just replace Xero with PopOS, but I might reinstall Xero again on my laptop.

I was wondering...
Why don't you EVER install the distributions in the vm to test.
The experience would be different.

In previous videos, you mention Garuda as an ideal distribution even for beginners. Would you recommend Xerolinux also as a distro that can be used by beginners?

There is no 100% sure fire way to say that the AUR is completely reliable and free from issues. If it was... I'd be a sane man.

Any chance you present distros in a VM instead of just live?

yeah been using xerolinux as my main OS for a while now, but cachylinux trumped it recently, alltho cachylinux feels a bit buggier.

Nice review Troy 👍
I have a question for you. Are these arch spins suitable for older hardware, like 10-15 yrs old?
The kernel drivers are backdated right? And the latest kernels are updated for new hardware?
Thanks
