Just want to let everyone watching this video know that my xinitrc is so different now. The way I was doing things here is so wrong.
#1 - I am now using autorandr here on this laptop. Still though I shouldn't even be running the xrandr command from my .xinitrc anyway. There are much better ways of doing it (if your using a laptop or a computer where your plugging in different displays semi-frequently I would recommend autorandr)!
#2 - I should have and now am just using exec for qtile. I believe that ensures that qtile is not stuck waiting on everything before it to launch before it can get up and running.

I just wanted to say thank you all for being so kind when I make mistakes. I know we all make them and life is a learning / growing experience all the time. However, this is the internet and as we all probably know too well.. People aren't always as forgiving as we'd like. So it's really awesome to see that the overwhelming majority of the people who interact with me about my content are super uplifting! Thank you for watching and I've got a video coming out, as of writing this, tomorrow talking about autorandr and how simple it is to use.

I've yet to figure out how to use multi monitors with Qtile. I mean I know xrandr and use it for three monitors in manjaro xfce, but in Qtile on arch, I can't: 1. Get DP1 and VGA1 working as well as my laptop monitor (ThinkPad T430) and 2. Understand how to switch from one monitor to another. The Qtile functions lack good docstrings sadly and the docs don't explain this either. I've checked out DT's config but he's got unused functions in there so that didn't help either. Does anyone have a triple monitor config for a ThinkPad? That would be gold.
