“Submechaniphobia is not limited to animatronics” I think they’re gonna run out of animatronics to cover guys. I knew this day would come but I didn’t want it to be so soon. Love the videos.

The ferryman one kinda made me feel sadness. That sculpture holds so much meaning to somebody who’s struggling with depression but yet unlike the ferryman they won’t give up the fight

La Machine have a very interesting style.
Where most Animechanics would try to hide their mechanical pieces to make their props look real, they have ALL of their mechanisms front in center in what looks like a stylistic choice as well as a means of giving the machines extra fluent motion.
A full video on these artists would be SO cool.

I think hippo animatronics are significantly more unsettling compared to These were all great picks for today's video!

My submechanophobia is triggered by technology suddenly appearing, the entire thing not being fully visible leading to me imagining the rest

You know what’s scarier about the Ferrymen’s End at 9:48 the thing it represents “a loss of connection with the outside world coming as a form of depression” that genuinely scares me cus as of now I’ve been really cut off from the world around me and have in fact dealt with depression from it… hearing its story and the fact it’s meaning is something I relate too gives me this primal fear. As though I’d one day turn to stone.

honestly as an artist, it's been a lifelong dream of mine to create a submerged/semi submerged animatronic, because i find the art of it super interesting yet horrific.

I love your videos by the way, i always get excited when i see you guys post <3

The way he described ‘The Bather’ as “magnificent” OR “disrupting the tranquility of the lake”

Can two things not be true at once? I think she evokes both feelings!

Would love a video on La Machine. Those look incredible. Also 'The Bather' triggers my megalophobia... I hate it 😭

6:09... i have gone to the enchanted forest so many times when i was a kid. I absolutely loved it there. At that young age, i wasn't afraid and didn't find anything creepy there. I just remember the good memories i had. I am so happy that they restored most of it and future generations can enjoy seeing it as much as I did back in the 70s.

“Would you swim for 5 minutes with the orca?”

Absolutely not. I wouldn’t even stand in front of it outside the ride vehicle let alone be inside the water with it.

Fun-Fact; 'Mee-Shee' is far from the only "Nessie"-inspired movie the Creature Shop has been involved in! They actually did TWO "Nessies" for the 1995 TV-movie 'Loch Ness', starring Ted Danson and Ian Holm. And also the Scylla -monster for the 1998 'Odyssey' -miniseries on Hallmark. ; )

Do I, someone with megalophobia, wanna watch this at half 1 in the morning or do I wait when it’s light and I’ve had a good nights sleep… (clicks play button).
Not gonna lie, the animatronic animals one is neat. It’s the human ones that have me hiding in the comments.

Idk how one even gets submechanophobia but I realized I had it when I first played subnautica way back when.

I didn’t care about the depth and darkness of the water, nor the hostile creatures like the reaper or warpers, but when I had to go to wreckages and the aurora i was FEEBLE.

I even get uncomfortable going back to the life pod. Irl I get uncomfortable just being near any “vents” in pools, or those inflatable obstacle courses

Currently watching this with my wife and I had to come on here and say that we both want to see a video on La Machine.😝

The Murray Bridge Bunyip from here in South Australia would fit in this list perfectly! There's two versions of it too, both emerge from oily water and screamed at you.
