10:50 minutes of priceless explanation of the importance of SEO from solid to meh! I watched the whole dang thing! Kudos!! I really enjoyed the implication that using everything offered by YT is helpful. Why leave anything they offer out ... if a place to included can create helpful ratings = 3.75% verses 0% as a blank, how can that be bad??

Harv, firstly, great video (as always). Secondly, I would even go a little further with over-branding. I would also include over-production. I remember days on YouTube when it was random people with a camera in their room trying to create incredible videos. Nowadays, almost every YouTuber beyond 250k Subs has a fancy studio, maybe staff and an enjoyable production value; however, it doesn't feel like "broadcasting yourself" anymore. These people feel out of reach and, in my opinion, hurt the creator/consumer relationship. Even though this isn't an SEO topic, I decided to mention it since the content is still king, as you already said. :)

Very true points, regarding #4 -"titles that deliver" - I've actually found myself unsubbing channels with "clickbait hyper-exaggerations" titles, even if the channel tends to have good content in the actual videos... I just find it extremely annoying :)
One thing I would add is to add consistency to your uploads. Doesn't matter if that's one big feature-size content per month, or two per day. One of my absolute favourite channels is the British car-remake channel "Bad Obsessions Motorsports", and they maybe publish one every two months - if you're lucky. I've watched every one of their videos end-to-end, since 2015.

Apparently a video needs to be watched for at least 30 seconds until its classed as a view. So maybe don’t put a card in the first 30 secs. (No idea about videos with a total length of less than 30 secs).
