There's something magical about early 2000's custom shop necks.. I don't know why, but they feel slightly better than any modern custom shop neck I have had the opportunity to play. Why is that, I wonder?

Hi so I ordered a Custom Shop '63 strat, should be here in a few days. I've been reading a lot of comments from players saying it's ridiculous to spend that much $$ on a CS when you could spend 1/2 the money on a nice American Professional 2 or another really nice strat and mod it yourself. Did I do the right thing? LOL
