I thought it might be interesting to go through what you actually get with a lot of the well known guitars/top end stuff/cheap guitars. This is the first of these new videos I have coming up on the channel.

two things. 1) A great guitar, no complaints there and 2) an empty bank account. 😂😁🎸👍🎶

I’ll never forget when my Custom Shop 69 Fender Stratocaster came in. I tracked it all morning long and when she finally arrived, I fell in love!!!! I didn’t get a catalog for that year’s models, but the stickers and springs and all the guitar accessories were there. I can say the best experience is playing the guitar and getting to know how it feels. Mostly it was similar to when I bought my 1994 American Standard Stratocaster 18 years ago, but again I must stress as a Custom Shop Snob, I’ll always remember the first time with my CS 69!!!!🎸🎸🤘🏽🤙🏾🤘🏽

Omg that case is like AMAZING!

Like the holy grail !!!
Indiana jones opening it up

And just a side note, i used to deck my trem UNTIL, I learned how to set them up myself and it never ever gives me any issues.

I went from locking the trem to feeling silly for locking it.

I love tweed too, but it becomes one more thing to guard. Lol. I had one and carried it in a keyboard gig bag.

I watch many channels on gear and when i have not been here for a time, it just stands out how well you relate your information. Smooth, like there is actually an audience in the room. That is it. I feel like i am in the room.

Two years ago the inside of the tweed cases has a smaller compartment. As a result it didn't come with a catalog. But they did have a custum shop tool case (very very nice) and a toaster chord style guitar chord...nice too. The certificate was more of a mini plaque as again, the compartment was smaller. It had all the rest too....the strap, the springs the trem arm.

A tweed coffin from a very thin vampire?

I bought a similar looking ‘62 Strat Reissue back in the early ‘90s. What was included is about the same then, except I did not get that nice book you showed. The case was the same type, but the case lining was a bit plain compared to that case. I love the guitar & case and still play it after all of these years.

Back in "The Day", we were a Fender Diamond Dealer. Imagine Bill & Susan Carson coming in to the store to visit ! We had the Harley Davidson Strat that we sold to Travis Tritt, the #2 Hendrix guitar (#1 went to his family) and our owner let me "see" his 1954 Strat ! (Wouldn't let me actually touch it, though) Those were the days ! Btw, yeah, I know THAT SMELL !!

Nice video. Too bad you can’t share the new guitar smell. The technology just isn’t there yet lol

I recently ordered - but have not yet received - a G&L ASAT Classic S (like a Nashville Tele) with alnico pickups. I chose the neck profile, the body, neck, and fretboard woods, the neck radius, locking tuners, bone nut, the body, neck, and headstock finishes, the types of knobs, front and rear contours, and the pickguard color. Delivered cost to me: less than $1600. I could have ordered a Legacy, equally customized, for roughly the same price. Yes, it doesn't have that "special" decal on the headstock...

With prices like they are charging you could build 3 warmoth strats which were played by every studio player who also had a solo career. Larry Carlton, Lee ritenour etc. My last three all started with warmoth necks and a good aftermarket body and the pups you want all for less than 600 bucks. I've been playing for forty years and did a couple of albums. I found out that the original valley arts guitars were all made with warmoth necks and bodies because new guitar companies have to out source parts until the newly purchased tone woods have dried, aged enough to be used. I had the valley arts Steve lukather model for a few years and I thought why doesn't fender make their guitars play this great. Switching from the less Paul to the va was seamless.

That case is identical to the PRS cases of the late 90s early 2000s locks trim and all, except for the interior of course. I like those old fashion brief case locks more than the new integrated ones they use today

I’ve got 4 Fender Custom Shop Guitars and each one come with a different set of case candy ranging from a tool kit to a trem arm for a hard tail.
