Hey! Welcome to HOWZA channel! In today's lesson, you will learn how to change the default terminal in Windows 11.
On Windows 11, it’s possible to make the Windows Terminal app the default experience to open and run
Right-click on the windows icon on your taskbar. Choose Windows Terminal (Admin) from the list. Click on Yes in the pop-up window.
Click on the arrow icon at the top of the window. Choose Settings from the list. Go to Default profile. Choose the one that you need from the drop-down list: windows PowerShell, command prompt or azure cloud shell. Click on Save. Close the window.
Go to taskbar search. Type CMD. Click on Run as administrator under Command Prompt. Click on Yes in the pop-up window.
If you want, you can return to default look. Right-click on the top bar and choose Defaults from the list. A new window will open. Go to Terminal tab. Look for Default Terminal Application. Choose Windows Terminal. Click Ok. Restart the command
