One of the best majors I’ve ever watched. Can’t beat the open

Rosie you did so well and came short by 2 shots over possibly the hardest Saturday afternoon I have seen since Carnoustie. You are class, well done.

Yeah well said Justin Zproud of Rose! Went from qualifying to almost winning. He fought hard. He beat me by ten shots in South African open qualifier 30 years ago… nice to follow him through his career

When a 3 wood comes up short on a par 3 you know it's not going to be a good day 😅

Rose also played a driver off the deck on the 16th... 305 yards onto the green... Respect. ⛳🏌‍♂️

Tough back 9 but same for everyone. Key is keep it on the fairway or light rough. Avoid deep rough and pot bunkers. That's where Shauffele was so impressive.

Love how composed they are. Thats freaking tough. I for one enjoy seeing tough courses and conditions. I know its rough on players but the toughest guy always makes it out on top. Love to see it

Finally! It’s about time! We see pro earn their money through mental and physical challenge

They're not complaining, they're just acknowledging the conditions. It's a huge part of link's golf. In benign weather the winner would be at 16 under or better

Well played Mr rose. You still have it. A wee bit of more luck on the greens, and you would have been the champion golger. You just booked your ryder Cup spot. Good luck for the future. From new zealand.

I was there on Saturday. It really wasn't so windy, sustained 10 mph winds maybe gusting high teens at times but not often. The rain on the other hand, it may not have looked like it on TV but it was smashing it down and the temp plummeted. I couldn't believe the course absorbed it and they were made to play through it. Would have been utterly miserable to play in. It defo was to watch. I felt for the caddies, probably the hardest days work they've ever had.

Rosey played with heart this week. He still has another major left in him!

We all wanted a challenging major. That is why majors are the sole determining factor in golf greatness. Best golfers having to dig deep. One winner and a bunch of survivors.

I remember the first course I played from the black tees..7180 from the tips and it seemed like it was driver 4iron every hole lol
