Had karchers for years, never lasted very long, so went for a Bosch, lasted till just after the warranty ran out, so finally tried a Sealey, had it now for about 8 years, still going strong !👍

The AVA also has a built in stubby gun for people that mostly use theirs for valeting/detailing. A feature that most other manufacturers sell separately. Combined with a 20 year warranty providing you either get it serviced every five years with them, or purchase a service kit and service it yourself, apparently at "no profit cost".

I've just bough the AVA Smart P60 and judging by the weight of it I'm pretty sure the lance is metal, covered by the honeycomb patterned ABS plastic. It's far too heavy to be only plastic. Fantastic machine for well under £300. All AVAs have the same lance.

Been using the same Nilfisk D130.4 for the last 7 years and it still performs extremely well!

I have one of Ava’s Go series, their portable machines, the most powerful P55 which compares to a Karcher K5. I feel the model selected for this test was not comparable to the Husqvarna and Stihl. If you had compared the master series P80 or the P90 ( if it has been released in the UK yet) which has an extending base which is more powerful would have given a more comparable test. You also failed to mention the hand trigger for car detailing. To anyone reading this watch Epic Automotive car detailing’s review of comparable washers. Dave’s review of the various washers are even handed and fair. The model missing here would be the Nilfisk range. Ask yourself what you want the washer to do before shortlisting. I certainly recommend the Ava model I have. Yes the hose and handle are heavy but an extending lance and professional quality hose are vital to me. I nearly went for the Nilfisk myself.

Great review. I've got the K7 - not a professional machine I know but it also has the ability to draw water. For me that's really important because my mains water pressure is just not quite strong enough for the machine to work at full power. The solution- have the garden hose running into a big plastic bin and then have the Karcher draw water from the same bin- hey presto, Karcher operates at full pressure!!

Had an Ava evo 60 but it kept blowing the plug fuse so I bit the bullet and got a kranzle k7/122 TS, it’s a far superior machine even in build alone, I do like the concept of Ava and the warranty, hopefully they will get better with time and future development

I have a ProKleen pressure washer and works great at 135 bar and draws water perfectly.
TIP....If you are going to draw water with a pressure washer then use a hose pipe with the biggest diameter as this will increase the pressure, something i learned recently when my usual pipe was frozen so i used a spare that had a bigger diameter. It literally doubled the pressure.

I recently bought the Karcher HD4/10X Classic for £229 from Farmfoods - with a 5 year warranty (Farmfoods special with Karcher) upon registration. The trigger end can also be used as a stubby gun - M20 fittings in and out - Ive adapted mine for quick release for existing lances and snowfoam bottle. It's great!

Nozzle referred to in Stihl manual as ceramic nozzle.
Had the RE150 plus for 4 years. Brilliant bit of kit

I'm in Australia and have a Gerni 7300 which is very similar to the Husqvarna. Mine came with three nozzles standard wide spray, variable spray and turbo nozzle. It also has a 350mm wide surface cleaner with two sorts of jet heads standard and hammer for very dirty concrete. It comes with a spray foaming bottle for use on a car for snow foam but I use my Aussie Bowden's Own snow foam cannon. Bowden's makes a whole range of brass connections to suit many different brands of pressure washer. The pump is aluminium and there's no internal detergent tank. The hose reel has a steel reinforced 12m hose and it was a 7 year warranty. The plastic connections are the same as the Husqvarna just push and twist. Everything is stored on the machine and that includes a little pin type tool to unclog the turbo head if the ball inside stops moving. It's not designed for using potable water, mains pressure only. Gerni even says in the instruction to operate the pump to clear the hose of water after use which is something you can do with pumps made of metal parts. Plastic pumps can't do it as they rely on the water as a lubricant and without water they heat up and melt. Mine is only available in Australia at $740. The others demonstrated here are also available in Australia but are much more expensive than my Gerni.
It does come with accessories like an extra 20m of hose and a 15m draining hose to unclog drains. Extra sections of lance tubing are also available if you need to reach higher areas. My Gerni looks very similar to the Husqvarna in the video thumbnail but mine only has an on/off switch on the front. I too think that the hose reel should be at the base not at the top for it would make the pressure washer far less likely to tip over.

Good review James, wish my boss could have watched this video 3 years ago. He bought a Bosch for us. It’s rubbish couldn’t take the skin off a bowl of custard.

All AVA PWs are self priming and can draw water from most sources according to their website.

Super great review, many thanks, good job, Helping us to choose. An old thing with the Kärcher that is worth knowing is that the threads of the detergent bottle have "Kärcher threads and size" so you have to buy their bottles, or simply refill a Kärcher bottle, depending on which of their washer model you may have

Fairly certain the husky and Stihl machines are booth made for them by Nilfisk. They look similar to the Poseidon 2 or 3 professional machines

James, do any of these pressure washer have auto stop? When you release the trigger on the gun the pump motor stops until you start the gun again. Very useful.

Great review! The husky and Stihl look really well designed quality machines. The spinning ball bearing nozzle for concrete and patios is called a turbo nozzle. Don’t use on on anything wooden or your car though 😱

Electric Washers are very convenient, especially in the winter months here when we get a day above freezing. Thanks James!

All pressure washers can operate from a water container when placed above the machine.

My Stihl RE90 Plus is very convenient when getting salt off my truck in the winter when my gas pressure washer doesn't feel like working. Great video James!
