Surface Laptop 3 Screen Replacement

This video is a quick guide on how to swap your screen should you need to do so. I got the spare screen from a faulty Surface off eBay with a Motherboard fault so it worked out well that I could make 1 unit from 2 faulty ones and have spares.

My surfacebook base don’t charge... I can use the surface as a tablet, but when I connect the base, the keyboard doesn’t work and the USB ports also, but the lights works well. Do you know what would probably is?

This is a very handy video, thankyou. I am attempting to combine a SL3 and a SL5 to make one good unit. Can you advise if any parts are interchangeable at all please? Hopefully the screen from a SL3 can go on the SL5 or the keyboard from the 5 back onto the 3?? Any hep is greatly appreciated :)

My surface took a dropped empty glass to it whilst closed it made a tiny dent in the outer cover but whilst the screen isnt cracked the screen is all messed up with whatever got dented behind it, it showes the impact point but theres no damage to the actual screen service, is this a fullscreen replacment?

Hi love the video! It’s very helpful to see how the screen is attached. I recently dropped my surface laptop and the top cover with the screen doesn’t line up with the bottom any more. Do you know if it’s possible to readjust this? Or did something bend causing the misalignment. Any insight would be great appreciated!

The bottom of my laptop screen is like dead I can't see its all blurry its only 1/4 of the screen I don't know what to do either take it to get it fix or try it myself

I have done a couple of these recently that have not survived the screen-swap and troubleshooting the board it appears I have a short now on the latest one I have done. I have done multiple SL1 and 2's with no problems but the 3 for what ever reason is a bit more delicate. I cannot see anything hardware wise that would cause this problem so I would suggest that before doing this either make sure the battery is flat or shield off the contacts to the board prior to doing this.
