In todays video i get to work transforming this brown solid wood 1970’s dresser and matching nightstands. I went with my favorite color Laurel woods by sherwin William with a natural waxed top. In went with gold handles to contrast off of the green and i think it turned out incredible.

I think it is gorgeous!!! If people want something "restored", they can do the work themselves. You saved that piece from the landfill! Freaking GREAT JOB my friend!!!

I would have preferred to see the wood of the entire dresser restored - not just the top.

I usually don't comment on refinishing furniture, but I absolutely fell in love with this one! Beautiful work! 😊

Such beautiful burl on the drawer fronts that you painted over 😢

I really liked it that way it was. It was a beautiful piece. You’re work is very nice though, it’s just a personal stylistic difference.

I would have done the whole thing in natural wood. It looks too beautiful to be painted.

Yes! that was my first thought that green and gold would make it look beautiful

As a life-long antique dealer, I prefer natural wood as intended. A good cleaning and top oil-based resurface and good for me. I couldn’t tell from your recording if the drawers were dovetailed. Was there a manufacturer indicated on back/underside/inside drawer. A good piece with right or rare manufacturer can bring on more money than refinishing or painting. Jmo

Love the lines of the dresser even before it is finished. I really like the refinished piece. Great job.
Personally I would not have painted over the beautiful woodgrain.

Lovely but I thought the wood was beautiful instead of paint.

I think it’s absolutely gorgeous and modern. You can do what you’d like with your pieces, so sad to see all these negative comments I’m glad I don’t waste my time being negative! Keep up the good work

I almost cried when you covered the wood with solid paint...bit I was SHOCKED by the final. Absolutely gorgeous.

Very IMPRESSIVE!
Particularly, the way you saved the top! Those deep honey colored warm tones of the wood is a beautiful compliment to the satin green tone and the waves in the rest of the piece!!!

I loved the original nostalgic look of this CLASSIC dresser. You’ve said you really like this color in another video. I love this color (as green in any hue is my favorite color) with the other dresser you worked on but this time...

YOU’VE DONE THIS CLASSIC BEAUTY A TOTAL DISSERVICE!!

Well, I see many don't like it but I think it's beautiful and I'm one that also appreciates natural wood. Nice job!

Normally I would keep the natural wood but keeping the table top natural and combining it with that beautiful green color is just fantastic!!! Looks amazing!!

No! This gorgeous antique deserved to be preserved, not “updated”.
